Who would have thought that 20 years on Natalie and company would be comforting us in these difficult times of the Covid-19. Great release from the daily stresses.. Thank you
Natalie looks so happy and healthy. So beautiful! I can imagine the feeling of the day with that Colorado high altitude summer air. It fills people with positivity and love and you can see Natalie feels it. Her beautiful music fills those mountains with more good vibes. The mountains and the music and the people feed off each other. The people go away just knowing it was great, but not really understanding the magic they felt.
lets see Natalie is about 36 in this concert. Those were good and innocent times to say the least. Had we know what was coming I am sure we all would have lived much different lives. She is one of a kind.
Natalie...I would listen to you till the Hevens Fell. You have a voice, a presensce that shines like none other...I am soooo glad you have a new albumout///Luv you x
I've listened to Thank you numerous times and enjoyed it. Looking for information about the band (mostly drummer) came across this. I've seen it before, but it doesn't just jump out. Takes some looking. But, the point was to learn the name of her drummer. I would put flowers on her grave.
She’s a gem. Proof that women are goddesses. Plus Sara McLauchlin and Sara Bareilles. But never tell them that to them personally. We human beings can not process that. So just thank them. That is good enough.
Interesting thing with Natalie...I had a cassette of the Wishing Chair in 1985 while was in college...don't even know how I got it..I mostly had records at that point. I listened to it in the car constantly and fell in love with it..(even though on that record the lyrics are really hard to understand) At that point I had no idea what Natalie looked like. No pictures on the casette jacket, and there was no interenet back then so I couldnt google 10,000 Maniacs. They never hit it big untill In My Tribe in 1987 so the band was still relatively obscure at that point. I looked for pitcures of this godess I was listtening to but found nothing. It was fully a year later when I finally came across a picture of Natalie in a magazine. I remember being dissappointed because I had conjured an image of absolute stunning beauty. She was more plain and less delicate than I had imagined. But over time I have realized that physically she is more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Thanks for uploading the full concert. Pleasantly surprised to see rare live recordings of two of my favourite songs, 'Which Side Are You On?' and 'Thick As Thieves'.
Burbank Tony here: I SO love her voice. Saw her at the LA Greek Theater in the summer, so lovely. The band’s natural timing seems a tad off , though- raw/real?? She still melts me with that gorgeous VOICE. Wow😁🌊🏄♂️🌊
She really enjoys performing. It's not just "play your songs, leave and count the money" like with other artists. She was full of life and joy back then. A joy to watch.
Grandissima Natalie, quasi al livello del Rock am Ring del Maggio del 2002,che ,personalmente, ritengo insuperabile .Ma questo molto piu' soft e' bellissimo.
Wonderful addition to the show, the country violinist and banjo player. Vocals too. I found, or they fd me, the CD (old time now) that had the story about the women who crossed the prairie. Dang, it hit a nerve with me. That was the Columbia Record co. The keyboard player; looks 1980's. Nothing wrong with that. Trying to remember who she reminds me of. Well, Rod Stewart right off. Her hair dresser should get flowers. The rest of the band too. The fall was so perfect. If your interested, Natilie is still alive and goes on t.v. once in a while. She's talky, but it's always fun. This concert reminds me that this was some of the most talented and enjoyable music I ever heard, but no one likes anyone else's music.
When KBCO use to be based in Boulder before sellout to Clear Channel. They days of terrestrial radio in Boulder. No Auto tune. Those were the good days.
I’m opposed to streaming music because I don’t think the artists get the full value of their beautiful music. I want to simply buy and download it. Then I can sell it by sharing and getting other friends to buy it. That is how things should be. Right?
Okay don't hate me but I think she damaged her voice sometime before this. Just a much more throaty, darker tone. Possibly it was a conscious choice. But I just watched some of her performance on Sessions On West 57th from 1998 just two years earlier and even then it was still the same soaring angelic voice she was famous for. Not saying this is bad but it's just not quite the same.
I'm in my retro mode and Everytime I have to go back to Natalie Merchant. She is unmatched.
Seek out Sandy Denny too, if you like stunning voices :)
Sinead
Our generation's Joni Mitchell i think.
un-freaking-matched!
Man, hard to believe this was 21 years ago!! I was there......

Wow dude, I know I'm replying a year later but you sound like a Jackass!!

Brilliant lyricist and vocalist. An integral part of my life. New album 14th April 2023, already has two songs released
Thank you for posting the whole set. Absolutely beautiful performance.
God Bless Natalie Merchant.
One of the most recognizable and soothing voices in the world. I loved 10,000 Maniacs when I was growing up.
That dance on "Thank You" was worth the entire price of admission.
Listen. Beautiful concert. Beautiful Natalie.
The biggest voice ever and spirit!!!
Awesome to have this whole set rather than just the 33 minute encore that’s been around a while. Thanks still again.
Thanks also.

She probably did once, with the Maniacs.

Go Natalie!
Brilliant.
Can I buy this and pay Natalie and company money ? I want this in my Apple library. No streaming, I pay for whole album/concert.

❤
hey is that the aweosme alison miller on the drumkit, anyone know?
It is.
I was wondering who it was!! She's very good!!❤
Note: Wonder at 21 minutes
Great sound but the video is all squeezed for me. Looks like widescreen content pushed to 4:3. Is there anyway to fix this?
She is a Goddess...
🎉 I know I would have
Natalie Merchant, Enya, Barby Kelly

You clicked.
Jad’or 🎶🎶🎶♥️🎶🎶🎶
What was she doing with the dude at 18:00?
That was Jeff Tweedy of Wilco who they were touring with. Just having fun!
she forgot about the thin air!!!
Eddy Vedder got his voice from her
Those hips!
way way too many ads for watching or listening pleasure, too bad whoever posted this isn't true lover of uninterrupted musical performance
Need Jennifer Turner up there playing her lead guitar, without her it’s not the same
Ok I have to laugh someone compared Natalie Merchant to a reality show contest winner…..Go just go!
I would definitely take Nat. to Red Lobster.....
