  • In this vlog discover with me Port Barton on the island of Palawan in the Philippines
I'll show you around this little fishing village as well as 2 beaches nearby.
★ Discover with me Port Barton on Palawan Island in the Philippines
    Palawan Island
This island covers 12,189 square kilometers, making it the fifth largest island in the archipelago.
But there are only 430,000 inhabitants, which is relatively small compared to its surface area.
It is on this island that the oldest human traces in all of South East Asia have been found, they date back more than 50,000 years.
The island is renowned for having the most beautiful scuba diving sports in the world as well as its heavenly beaches.
We also find animal species on this island that only exist here, such as the giant wild boar or the Philippine pangolin.
The National Geographic ranked this island in 2007 as the most beautiful destination in the world and in particular "El Nido"
    Port Barton
This small fishing village is wedged between the jungle and the beach
I advise you to walk around it from one end to the other and not hesitate to take the small paths that pass between the huts, cabins and more traditional houses.
There is a long beach of fine sand and lined with coconut trees that runs the entire length of the village.
Besides, I advise you to do the walk from start to finish at sunset, it’s fantastic.
There are small tides which slightly withdraw the sea, this gives very beautiful views
    Coconut Beach and White Beach
At the very end of the beach on the left (when you face the sea) there is a small path that crosses the jungle.
You will come across a first beach called “Coconut Beach” the sand is as fine as white it is very beautiful
On the other hand, it is private, you will have to pay 50 pesos (€0.90) to access it.
A little further there is a second large beach: the “White Beach”
I read in guides that there is also a charge for it but there is no one and no sign.
It took me 1 hour to get there with photo breaks and 40 minutes to get back without breaks.
For information, there are boat shuttles which provide connections between “White Beach” and Port Barton but I do not know the frequency.
I recommend this little walk, it’s great
