do you like the rear mount more than a dump?

Given the choice, I wouldn't buy a dump for doing my normal tree work.

@@RutherfordConLLC interesting. at first glance it seems like a dump would be easier to unload.
do you mind sharing some of your reasoning behind a rear vs a dump?
easier backing into jobs then pulling out loaded?

A dump is easier to unload if you don't have to manage the yard after you've dumped. A rear mount unloads in to the consolidated pile.
Unloading doesn't take long with the grapple.
Being rear mounted gives you more area to work and less pretty paint to drop something on.
Depending on what you're doing, a rear mount can pick up/carry something on tires easier than a mid mount (loading large stumps on to a flatbed trailer, for example).
If the only downside is unloading, that's not much of a downside.

Rear mounts are much more common. They give you better range and the option to pull a grapple trailer. A good operator can unload brush and logs quickly. Small material such as soil and firewood sized material takes some time.

That was for a county contract... the debris is still sitting there, but the idea was it would be ground.

It was for the municipality, DEQ guidelines is my guess.

Hold onto the brush until the city pays. Otherwise give it back to them in the parking lot of the city office.

How long does it take to load up your box? How many trips a day/week can you do with that thing?

      It depends.

Rutherford Contracting LLC say it’s storm work damage like in Miami. And you had dump site like 20miles away. How many yards do you think you can move a day?

You're asking a question with too many variables to answer.

@@overwatchfun155 factors depends on traffic, landfill times, if theres 100 of you piled into the dump, and to get spotted and evaluated, then in line to dump, then back out, all the while not getting stuck if weather has screwed up the dump site, then back on the road, and how big or small or spaced out the piles are..a truck like this running dusk to dawn for fema..(12 hours) you'd have a grin on your face if you made 6-8 runs in a 12 hour span.
