Oh wow. This is the first time I've ever seen anything with Ken Palmer interacting with anyone besides Rachel. That Marianne was quite self-involved and prone to jealousy! I really like Ariana's take on her and the way she was written. Not a "good girl" and not a "bad girl." But definitely an insecure, self-involved teen. Harding Lemay was good at nuance. Marianne might have been the most realistic character on the show at the time. I like this Daryl character too. That's another one they started up and then dispatched too soon.
Yes it was nice to see him doing work beyond pining for Rachel (and sans his facial hair). Marianne definitely feels very real, which makes it hard to watch her sabotaging any relationship with Daryll and clinging to an oblivious John for dear life. These clips make me feel so involved compared to most out there these days.
@@kengeorgejones6855 Ah, I vaguely recall the guy, but immediately placed him with Rachel. I guess this was the time Rachel started getting into sculpting -- because Victoria Wyndham sculpted in real life. I'm hoping to see another scene with Marianne and Michael soon. As a kid, I thought twins -- even male and female twins were supposed to look alike -- so it bothered me when they hired a dark-haired Michael. It bothered me even more when Ariana's replacement had dark hair -- despite that being the hair color of Michael at that time. I do recall the kids who played the twins prior - and they both had blonde hair. It wasn't until I had a biology class that I learned male and female twins are never identical, but can have similar features.
Can’t believe how real and long dialogue were. Those 2:42 would’ve been cut in like 4 scenes in todays soaps with 2 commercials lmao
Thanks for the upload !! Tragic episode when the show killed off John !!

That's a big compliment, thank you!
I agree about feeling involved...the length and conversation was in real time so it feels like we are seeing real peope with their struggles and joys.

Ooh, I had a crush on Will Lyman. Thanks for posting!
This is April 30, 1976, I believe.
Ken was in love with Rachel. This was shortly after Rachel had a miscarriage, which caused a strain on Mac and Rachel's marriage.
Next to the strain that Mitch Blake caused ??. 😂😂
Ken Palmer -- Will Lyman!
