We made PACE NOTES for the Nūrburgring!

- The Nordschleife at the Nürburgring is probably the closest you can get to a rally stage on a race track, with its 20.830 km (12.943 mi) length and numerous changes of surface.
So ahead of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, we sent Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe out in a Hyundai i30 N TCR car to see if they could conquer the legendary circuit rally-style with a set of pace notes!

Thierry even did a TCR guest start once and he won it in true rally fashion, because he won the Qualifying and just didnt get involved with wheel to wheel racing because no one could catch him.
So nice to see them relax this way! We need to see more fun like this

We know, right? It's about as close to a rally stage as you can get, so attacking it with pace notes makes sense 😃
There is a rally event held here - and they run parts of the Nordschleife the 'wrong' way.......

You should try and collate these in a document people can download so that people can use them on track (if they're lucky enough to be able to visit the Nurburgring and have someone willing to co-drive lol) :)

3:43 From my experience playing racing games, I know how tricky it is to keep speed on that corner and how satisfying it is to slingshot around it and get it right. I am happy that Tierry seemed to like it too!
It’s a tough corner, but we loved how much Thierry enjoyed it…the noises he makes 😂

I would love to know what the pace note "turn" ("tourne" in his real pace notes in french) mean please.
After rewatching ... I suppose it is a term to inform, that, while driving at higher speeds, a more changing direction situation is ahead, for which the speed has to be lowered

For those who remember the non-English developers back in the PS1 and PS2 days, where they seemingly found the office-worker with the best English, and made him read the pacenotes for hte game. This is how it feels. If I close my eyes, I get PS1 graphics in my head!

As a Belgian i am a Neuville supporter, but this video is as much instructive as boring, video shots from the circuit point of view would have made it more interesting, here i fast forwarded the video.
