I was told the same people were the ones who created the floating town(Makoko) in Lagos. It is very nice to see theirs is clean compared with the one in Lagos. Thank you for this video, sir.

Fantastic filming! Such an interesting village! It is well looked after. Very clean, no trash anywhere. Thankyou for filming. Your videos are getting better and better. History lesson and travel video all in one! Love this Benin series.
So nice of you, that s true that I put a lot of energy in the edit of that one, And i am also happy of the result ! please help the video to travel around and share it on your social network
This is so amazing to see! Excellently filmed and so beautiful. I wish I was there to photograph this beautiful village and people. Thank you most importantly for the history lesson. Incredible video.. 🙏🏾
Bonjour! I came home from shopping. I remembered you and your wife rode with boat to “Floating Villages” near Lagos in a few months ago. But in Ganvie, it’s very nice to ride the boat on river. See villagers, a lot of houses, mosque, churches and stores! It’s hot on river! You rode with longest river in Benin 🇧🇯. Have you caught fish 🐠, huh? See ya next journey video!
Welcome back from the shopping, hope you found what you were looking for ! i did not catch any fish during my stay... maybe cause i didn't try :) thanks for being here
Wow! Really insightful and clean!!! I'm a strong believer in no excuse for living in filth, as that's a thing of dignity and cultural embodiment even in poverty, and despite population size. Nice one! 👏🏾
thanks a lot for your support Yogi, I remember some of the first comments you did, i think it was on Adjegunle video, ... since that time you are always supportive ! I really thank you very much!
@@Ludo_Liu It's impressive that you remember my Ajegunle vid comments (though I started commenting long before that...from the first Lagos Island vids) which was when I first started watching. Then I said 'ohh can we see other vids outside of the Island, Lekki, and Ikoyi'? And once you did, I started moaning about the filth 🤣. Some people are never satisfied 😅😂.
Hola Ludo, joined you for the trip to Ganvie’, very interesting history, explanations, and translation. The resources available to fishermen, resources for buildings, churches, center of the city. Fantastic video, what can I say, excellent work!!
Hello Mister Ludo Liu 2 Today i am glad by the trip to Ganvié Village This is the future of Human Being because in the future we go to living in waters or oceans This is my view That inspired me to build school in my country like houses of Ganvié I loved the restaurant

Beautiful work as always Brother..what a treasure chest you found in that restaurant. I could have filled up the boat with stuff from there..many thanks...
the water is kind of polluted i think around the village cause of the used waters goes in the lake. I saw on some research that the very low depth of the lake contributes with the sun to the destruction of many bacteria's...and help the lake to maintain a good balance
waste are collected weekly, and burnt around.... water, goes in the water.... thanks a lot for watching and dropping a comment, welcome on the channel. kindly check that video, this is the next episode I'll premiere today ruclips.net/video/ynn3pZdz9fw/видео.html

Nice,I always thought "Makoko" was the largest floating settlement.
Makoko is the most populated one, but it is smaller than ganvié .
they are actually very different.

Well documented. Wasn't aware of Ganvie. I only knew about Mokoko/Lagos. But this place is totally different and for sure a place to visit. Thank you.

Is this floating village bigger than Makoko in Nigeria?
yes it is a lot bigger, but a also a lot less populated.
thanks a lot for watching, please feel free to share this video
Just wonder why ours like this are so bad and unclean?
Bad habits....
Hi ludo, where's the bathroom for these houses..
it goes inside the water unfortunately
@@Ludo_Liu I knew it! Not a bathroom in sight!
I think The Largest floating city is in Lagos. Makoko.
it is more populated but a lot smaller
@@Ludo_Liu . You are absolutely correct. After looking at the video.🙏🏾
Haven't noticed bathrooms.
we didn't go inside the houses, i guess it is a hole in between two floor boards cause this is where it goes...

waste are collected weekly, and burnt around....
