Make your own foam ear tips

How to make your own foam ear tips for your earbuds. This ended up working really well for me, so I thought I'd share what I did.
The hole punch tool isn't necessary, as you can use a knife to stab a hole, but the foam expands, so if you don't make the whole big enough it will close. The hole punch tool just makes it so much easier.

For anyone coming here and in a pinch or just too cheap to buy the punch, you can heat up the end of a tool called an awl (do not make it glow or you'll melt the entire plug) and plunge that through the center, you're off an rolling. It has the benefit of tapering this way too so it's tighter on one end and less likely to come off in your ear.

I wonder if the rubber ring that’s in the comply one is important or not in terms of sound transmission. It so, still you can just take it out of your used comply tip and stick/glue it into your diy foam tip. Great video, though. You did us a service. Leather punching tool! Such a great idea
