I'm from India and it's strange that very few people seemed to support Hafiz Naeem's party. I've watched few of his interviews/podcasts and he seems to be sensible politician. Talks on real time issues rather than jingoism. If I was a Karachi resident I would certainly have voted for him (or his party maybe, not sure if he is contesting personally). Also, Jibran Naseer seems sensible.

Shaoor is something a person naturally gets, it either takes time or someone does it out of fear of what others will think. I am from Karachi, and in pre-Partition days, central Karachi mostly had Gujrati speaking people, Parsis, Goans (all of them brought rom Bombay by the British to work as civil servants), Baloch, but very few Sindhis. Sindhis mostly lived in Malir and Kimari in the outskirts of the city. I am 63 and as a child I never heard anyone speak Sindhi in Karachi until Bhutto got elected. Most of the Karachi that is now didn't even exist back then. Even now, there are probably lot more Baloch people living in Karachi than Sindhis.
The truth is Sindhi Muslims & balochs dominated the outskirts of Karachi where as Sindhi Hindus were a majority in interior & central Karachi. Gujaratis ofcourse were present but Sindhi Hindus outnumbered them in every hook & corner. Go & check facts before spreading misinformation, More than 60% of Karachi spoke Sindhi before 1947 !! @@QabilAGhor
People in Pakistan support political parties as if its a big football league. They vote not because they like the idea or ideology of the party, they support because they love that party or hate the other ones.
