Question) A 400 KVA, 10KV 50 Hz three phase transformer has an internal reactance of 10%. Calculate the external reactance required to limit the fault current to 320 Amps.
sir i am getting the total percentage reactance required = 7.215% . Full load current = 400*1000/10*1000*✓3 = 23.09 Ampere . Now if we calculate %X =( 23.09/320 )*100 = 7.215%. Sir it is coming less than the percentage reactance given question and it is asked to calculate extra reactance , here i am confusing
