we skipped the Switch generation in hopes a more powerful version would have been out long before now, so we've been playing the Wii U version of *Mario Kart 8* online weekly for nearly a decade 😂 the online lobbies were still thriving even this year, so kinda bummed they switched it off regardless. 😭

I think for Xbox to up the competition, they should capitalize on what they do best. Gamepass is the best deal in gaming and their best angle. Any improvements here and with the windows ecosystem will be a huge benefit

I could see the Series X being treated as the new Series S. Maybe they make a cheaper redesign of the Series X slim version. alongside it, they might release a new console model that is their next gen box. The point of it would be to allow more advance lighting techniques and engine features that the Series X doesn't currently have enough overhead to do everything.
The new Zen 5 chipset will be in the next Xbox. It is a big leap over the current zen 2 chipset. They should boost up the ram to 20 gig. They will add an NPU chip for AI instructional activities.

I loved X-men Legends 1 and 2, and I bet they probably even hold up really well now. But they shifted to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, which was also awesome and I’d love a 4th one.

We still get xbox one/ps4 games, and even fewer worthwhile exxclusives and content this generation without much more to look forward to for the future. The idea of a pro model or new gen coming within a few years is real dumb. Theyve already fragmented thenindustry away between gens to the point that games just aint selling enough anymore... more hardware skews to further increase dev time for these games we already aint getting will not fix ANYTHING

I think I would prefer a 6-year life cycle over an 8 year. I don't think consoles age well. I own a series x but since building my PC I mainly play there now unless the game is not on PC.
If the next Halo isn’t what it should be at launch I’m done with Xbox and will use my RemasterStation as my main console.

No. If anybody looks into things, you'll see that Microsoft signed the deal for the chips with amd last yr. While sony signed theirs 2 years ago. Whatever comes in 2026, won't be a next gen console.
I'm with Roger here. We've gotten so much focus on the Episode 4-6 era, especially in gaming, as of late. I'd love if it was all 3 eras but we definetly need some Clone Trooper Action!
I would absolutely suggest to anyone coming off the high of X-Men '97 looking for a good X-Men game to absolutely pick up Ultimate Alliance 3. It's so, so good and more than worth the high asking price. I would NOT suggest going to Midnight Suns for that, because it won't deliver what you're looking for, but I also think that game is incredibly poorly written (or rather insanely over-written) to the point that I literally could not stomach having to listen to those characters speak anymore after 10ish hours...and I've been reading Marvel comics for 40 years.
Yeah, Midnight Sons is not it. Unless you'd like to go birdwatching or join Blade's book club
Not gonna lie, but, as much as I love the Kinda Funny Staff equally, I feel like that as a 26 year old viewer, I relate more to Blessing & Roger when it comes to growing up with games, although I'd say they have more of a varied view of video games compared to me, as I was mostly a Nintendo kid throughout my childhood, and only became a true Sony fan from 2017 after I graduated from Secondary School.

Wow console cycles all over the place. Nintendo said f*ck all and completely out of cycle. If Sony releases PS5 pro, PS6 might not come until 2027 or 2028. And looks like xbox is 2026. On the other hand probably 5000 series is coming from nvidia. Poor game devs.

Very good point. It'll be interesting to see how things go now that Xbox will have the marketing for cod. People out here really acting like playstation having the marketing for cod for a DECADE wasn't a massive hit to xbox.
The real point is that cod players buy cod they don't care about saving $70 to rent it for $20 a month on game pass. Cod players always buy a copy of cod so anything thinking they are going to leave ps to get game pass is delusional. It's the best selling game every year or in the top 3 because cod players buy it always.

Hellblade 2 tomorrow, starfield expansion September, CoD October, flightsim24 and Avowed November, Indiana Jones December. That's not including 3rd party deals and day1 gamepas games. stalker 2 in September. Multiple games lined up for 2025 - Fable, south of midnight, possibly state of decay 3. I mean seriously my guy. You're either genuinely just slipping your mind becuase you're not into xbox or you're on drugs. My apologies if I sound rude, but it's god damn annoying seeing people with honeslty, brain dead talking points that have not been true for a while and at the same time when Playstation straight up doesn't have jack shit with their in house teams.

@Mmachine88 HB2- a 6 hour game. An expansion to a disappointing "game of the generation" that underperformed, Call of Duty is on PC and PS5, Flightsim is on PC, everything is on PC. The narrative that Xbox has no games is still as strong today as it has been since the XboxOne released. This isn't a loud minority complaining. The fact of the matter is, there's no reason to own an Xbox yet....still.

Xbox Series X (Project SCARLETT) is going to "spread wings". The console has CPU 4 times more powerful than Xbox One X and has twice more powerful GPU. This + FRS 3.1 (and who knows what is coming. Maybe even FSR 4), Mesh Shaders, VRR. We still play last gen looking games on current hardware. Project SCARLETT ladies and gentlemen.
