- The new rehabilitated Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden has finally been opened to the public on 21 November 2022.
The Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden is home to about a thousand animals from 90 species as of April 2015. Giving life to the modernized and improved Manila Zoo are a Bengal tiger, Malayan civet, monitor lizard and hippopotamus, among others, and many of which were born in captivity with three month-old juveniles recently born in April 2015.
Location: M. Adriatico Street, Malate Manila.
Schedule: Open daily ( 9am-6pm)

Zoos are for medieval societies. For advance and mature societies, what are needed are protected areas and sanctuaries. People who visit are caged. It is people that should be in cages not the animals. If you are mature you can understand, if not, you have the minds of a 7 year old.
Maganda na Sana ang Zoo kaya Lang walang nag maintain ng kalinisan lalo na sa pathways at sa mga atip nito maging fiber glass man or screen . Yan ang madaling nakakasira. Sa structure at madaling mag mukhang luma.

Initiated by Isko Moreno right? I love it. It is modern yet I am in nature at naintroduce din ang Filipino element. The upkeep and maintenance should be expensive. Tubig pa lang on a daily basis, I'm sure would already cost Manila by the thousands. Is this managed by the local gov or a private company is hired? Sana po di ma compromise ang maintenance ng bathrooms if we want to keep this at a level we can be proud of. Anyway, I understand kung bakit konti pa lang ang animals as it is in the middle of the city and di baleng konti basta healthy sila kesa nagsisikipan where animal disease could easily spread. One way to generate income for the park is to sell plant seedlings that are trending - pwede naman consignment? Kaso may vendor sa entrance - kitang kita. lol

300 kasi tlga entrance, nag discount lang for their residents. Tsaka ang mura lang nmn wag ka na magreklamo. Kala ko nga mga 600 ang entrance.
Pwede ka naman ipasok na rin sa zoo para mag mura ang bayad.
