I honestly thought the sprite looked like the title screen sonic from “Time Twisted” or whatever it was called it was one of the most popular fan games

Sonic CD was easily the best of the classic games. Right up there with 3 and Knuckles. The fact that people still play and mod this game to this day is proof alone of this fact. As long as the US OST is in this mod I'm definitely gonna download and play this.

It’s like if sonic cd and sonic mania had a baby because it has the dropdash. Such a weird combination. But I love the way you made Sonic’s Qill’s I’m a sucker for Sonic’s qill’s and all that aside I love how he looks like the intro cutscene when he’s jogging and basically I just love this. And I wish they would put this in the real game. And I love the way you made the peelout.

Fan remakes like this really make the original game look even more like a creepypasta. From the way the latter’s detailed environments clash with Sonic’s sprite reused from the first game, to the surprise creepy bad futures, to the DAMN NEAR WHOLE U.S. SOUNDTRACK (seriously, the boss and final boss theme’s are traumatizing enough, but the game over theme was begging to be used in a future horror fan game) to the creepy sound test Easter egg that was spoiled hear in the west, it was most likely the main source of inspiration of Sonic.EXE. So…yeah. I like this much better. Edit: in regards to the Easter egg, I say spoiled in the sense that it probably was supposed to be funny (I think I remember one of the devs confirming this, but I could be wrong) but then the U.S.’s release replaced the funky jazz boss theme with the nightmarish (though still somewhat cool) robo-circus march from Hell.
Now, I've been doing my best in defending Origins, because it's price isn't that bad. But, I'd definitely say it'd be more worth it if the games in Origins had updated models like Sonic in this mod, and the stages looked more vibrant. I still think Origins is going to be a great collection and well worth the price, but a full "modernized" (like Mania or this for example) update to each game in Origins would be awesome and probably set it well to $50-$60 (US).
Just on a personal level, as you did the original music with act1 with Stardust Speedway would have been good to put the original Past and Present music with this hack
Also We Never Forgot The Most Infamous Cut Stage Called "Round 2" Don't Get me Wrong Round 2 Was Suppose to Be The 2nd Stage in Sonic CD But it Was Replaced With "Collision Chaos Zone" Instead as Stage 2!!
I really like the sprites. It looks like the art style from the fan game Sonic Freedom, which of course imitates the Toei style.
