    always enjoyed your brewing videos (so informative and fun to watch) and waiting for a video on one of the advanced recipes from coopers.

      Thanks, Danny,
      The next Coopers video to be released is a basic Dark Ale, which is a nice tasting brew, but tell me if you had something in mind? The previous Coopers video was Lager, but I added Galaxy hops and an alternate yeast, which tastes similar to the iconic '150 lashes', which has been around for a long time. Cheers

      @@quantumhomeimprovements I enjoyed those videos and watched some of them couple of times, I enjoy the less bitter bear. I was wondering of you think (The Voyage) recipes in the coopers website worth making a video about or they are overkill? Thank you and please keep up your DIY videos.

    Another nice instructional video. What we had made was Japanese rice wine called Sake. The only difference between your recipe and mine was we only made 4 bottles 🤣 And we pasteurized it to kill off any remaining yeast . Cheers

      @@quantumhomeimprovementsIt came out at 12 1/2 % and I don’t remember the taste . IT was in 2017 and I’m looking at a bottle at this writing and see a few floaties in the bottle no problem . I think I’ll be tasting this one soon gain . Some people like it warm ,and others at room temp .Cheers no video of the making

    Very interesting video mate! That’s some process..7 months eh..wow. When using a few utensils frequently you might find it easier to make up a container of star San or similar and just stand them in it. Then when you have to turn the mash or use your thermometer youre not worried about contamination.
    I’ve been looking at making a few wines (elderflower , rhubarb) lately so it’s interesting to see that process. Nice to see you branching out mate!🤓👍🏻unfortunately rice wine is not a fave of mine so I don’t think I’ll be trying this one out….but definitely interesting to watch.
    Keep it up owd lad…great work.
    When is the chat Moussa?

    Thank you Moussa and fr Jeff
    Will you and Fr Jeff bring some of this rice wine to the parish dinner on the 5 October? I would like to try some.
    What percentage alcohol is it? It was not mention in the RUclips. 😊

    • @quantumhomeimprovements
      @quantumhomeimprovements  Месяц назад +1

      How are you doing, John? I am not able to go, but Fr Jeff should be there.
      With regards to the percentage, we think it's around 10% to 12% but rice wine can range from 10 to 20%. When making any wine, you need to take a fluid reading of it before the fermentation stage and then just before it's bottled. However, with rice wine, it doesn't release the fluid from the rice fully until 4 weeks, which is too late to get an original specified gravity reading. So we had to make an estimation going by the quality of rice to water ration. I hope this helps you understand why.
      P.S. Let me know if you get to taste it! Cheers
