zebrashark23 What’s your email?? Please tell me more about yourself being potty trained on that type of model toilet and your experiences while doing it.
This toilet is super nostalgic to me! I used to watch this video a bunch when I first got into toilets! (Around my 6th birthday. Probably right after.)
Toilet Insider was created by this channel's founder nearly a decade ago to try to create regular, high-end educational content around toilets on a separate channel. Unfortunately, there were some life changes that got in the way, and after just a handful of videos that were put out, it just didn't live up to the concept. In many ways Project Beyond is actually the next generation of Toilet Insider, but this series will actually go forward and do what couldn't be done back then and much more. Today, while we're now a team, it's very small and much of the production work is still done by the founder. We're wrapping up the channel refresh and our new channel trailer this month, all while finalizing parts and components for Project Beyond to go to production. It's quite a lot of work but incredibly exciting! Sorry for the delays but we're making constant progress toward the "finish line" (figured a football reference would work today lol)
+TeraVolt Yes, but that's how these toilets are designed to work. And, if you flush nearly any toilet that is clogged, there's a good chance it could overflow.
If you flush a clogged pure wash down European toilet, you'll see the water rise up like a siphonic American toilet would do and then it will mostly unclog by itself due to the water pressure and larger pipes. Merry Xmas
This was a specific sound that American Standard toilets made during the 3.5 and 5.0 gpf eras, two special jets at the front of the bowl that directed stuff down toward the "mouth" of the toilet would make those "signature" sounds.
Nope, as I mentioned in the description, I avoided doing anything with the tank because it was already leaning backward. And my luck is that I would have broken it and caused a flood lol.
jhenry1041 Please stop asking questions about this. It was in a hotel room and if I had broken it somehow, it would have been charged to my account and that could have been a lot of money. I didn't want to take the risk, plain and simple.
They're quite interesting, it's sort of of an odd fascination, really. Today's camera tech lets me capture these fascinating fixtures in new ways. And, many years and millions of views later, other people also appear to find them interesting.
This is so satisfying. I love how the water just swirls slowly like that. It's so nice to watch. It's even better when tp is being flushed!
Isn't it, though? ;-)
pretty sure you would get caught by somebody if you did it all at one time
I potty trained on this model. That sound brings back so many memories.
zebrashark23 I potty trained on this model too and brings back many memories to me just like you when ever I come across one!!!!!

I love these toilets so much!
Nice!
I wasn’t around when the ToiletInsider channel was around, but why is it gone now?

THIS TOILET IS VERY NICE
It is a cool toilet!
Maybe one day I'll get to use it
Old enough to be classed as vintage
I like this toilet!
certainly a great AS Cadet toilet.
I have this toilet at my house
Happy New Year! :-)
You too! :-)
Ollllll
Guess what I will take my blanket and pillow to school!!!
They have those toilets in Hong Kong
❤❤❤
Water level's pretty high, looks like it could overflow pretty easily if clogged. Wonder if there's a way you can adjust it on American toilets.

Capturing Toilets why does it make that weird noise at the beginning of the flush
This was a specific sound that American Standard toilets made during the 3.5 and 5.0 gpf eras, two special jets at the front of the bowl that directed stuff down toward the "mouth" of the toilet would make those "signature" sounds.
Capturing Toilets newer toilets make it too
If this was on a flushometer it would be a Madera. However a Comfort Height would a a Cadet on a flushometer
Today, the ADA is now a Madera, too.
I want one! :) But I can't find it for sale at Lowes or Home Depot or anywhere online. :`(
Lowes or home depot dont sell this toilet they sell those low flow shit toilets but you can look on ebay or Facebook market place or some restores
you did not do a tank view but did you still look inside there
Nope, as I mentioned in the description, I avoided doing anything with the tank because it was already leaning backward. And my luck is that I would have broken it and caused a flood lol.
do you think it had tiltvalve
I don't think so, the tank release cycle seemed too short for a tilt valve.
how would the tank flood would it crack or come loose

Much like this country is doing in 2020...circling the drain.
Hello
4.5 GPF
wait what? this is 5 gallons??
As designed, yes...but they don't necessarily always use 5 gallons in a flush.

What is the motivation behind these videos? I'm just curious. Like, do you find toilets interesting, or soothing? Is it sexual? Just wondering.

My American standard cadet toilet
is gone forever
:-(
On summer break I'm getting an 1979 American standard Cadet toilet because my grandmother has two American standard Cadet toilets!
