Good point Shea. I'm of a mind that the whole thing is designed to keep dogwalkers from using the cemetery. The council use the excuse that they are protecting it from drinkers and vandals but as you say these kind of people will not be stopped by a gate. They will like me climb over the wall. so people interested in the graaveyard are also effectively kept out along with any potential 'baddies'.

Ahhhhhh memories H100A! I had to climb in over the wall. lol Unfortunately old cemeteries need to be locked due to vandals and drunken young 'uns.
