GREAT VIDEO thank you. For the screen mirroring section, I'm looking for a small device that can allow HDCP any idea ? I found one Portable Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver HDMI Extender 98FT/30M 1080P Kit Plug Compact Design but it Takes Up Little Space. I was looking for a device that is just like a small dongle and basically acts as a Wireless transmitor. Similar to when I screencast on a LG TV, I noticed HDCP works and LG TV use Miracast. I'm basically looking for a small hdmi miracast device HDCP compatible.
When you change the TTL to 65 does that effect my router or my PC? I’m having WiFi speed issues and just want to be sure. It that does effect my modem how does I change my TTL back to what it was?
Thanks again for the video. I stumbled on a way to cast (or is it mirror?) RUclips TV from an Android phone to the TV set. In the Roku settings, i was unable to get the Roku to recognize my phone. So I downloaded and installed the "Roku Screen Mirroring + Cast" app on my phone, which then prompted me to install it on the Roku. I couldn't get it to work. But, when I opened the RUclips TV app on my phone, I noticed that my Firestick was one of the devices I could cast to. I casted to the Firestick, and saw that the video on the TV set was not blacked out! Of course, if the internet is down, I would have to use a second phone to hotspot the data to both the casting phone and the Firestick. Or, I could just hotspot the data directly to the Roku or Firestick, and watch RUclips TV directly that way. Just thought I would share these thoughts with you.
That can work but the main issue is that you are using hotspot data from your phone. If you don’t have a true unlimited data plan you’ll quickly run out of data.
Thank you! The Belkin usb-c to hdmi + charge adapter worked great to stream from my android to tv in our rv. The charging feature did not work though. Is it possible that is because i used a cheaper hdmi cord? Thanks for the great advice so far!

I cut the cord with DirecTV several years ago I was mirroring my android phone (Samsung S9) with an adapter you mentioned in the video with both a C Port and HDMI at the end and was able to connect it to my Samsung TV HDMI port in the back. It was awesome 👍. However I since then bought another android phone, a Motorola to be exact and it doesn't work. I since then learned that only iPhones and Samsung android phone are the only phones that you can use to mirror to your TV. Is that true? I don't have internet. I prefer the mirroring type way I was using. Is there anything else I can do?
Most newer phones will allow you to connect to HDMI with an adapter. You just have to get the right adapter for the device you are using. For motorola phones you may want to check this out to enable mirroring: letsview.com/screen-mirroring-motorola.html#:~:text=1%20Enable%20Miracast%20on%20your%20TV%20or%20Miracast,list%2C%20tap%20on%20it%20to%20establish%20a%20connection.
The 480p is based on the phone not the data throughput so the TTL wont change it. If you get an Insty Connect cell router then you won’t have the resolution limit.

When you tether data from your cell phone you can go over the 50GB data cap without throttling. That’s one reason the adapter works well. It will still use up your hotspot data though so you can split the data. With the adapter you don’t need to enable the personal hotspot.

The problem with screen mirroring as mentioned in the video is that it uses the Internet from the TV connection and won’t work directly using cell service. Try shutting off your home cable Internet and you will see what I mean. So that makes it problematic to cut the cord and use cell only.
@sele training So I've a daily data plan of 1.5gb on my cell phone does changing the TTL to 65 on my win 10 x64 gives me unlimited tethering data? Via USB tethering.
Possibly. You should already see unlimited data if you stream on your phone since it defaults to the correct TTL. If that is true then tethering with Windows using TTL will also have the unlimited streaming data.
Hello. I live in Canada. Our major cell providers offer unlimited data plans where the first 20gb are at full speed and once past the 20gb limit they throttle you down to 512 Kbps of speed. So, via tethering, hotspot, screen casting, usb c to ethernet adapter or usb c to hdmi adaptor is 512 Kbps good for streaming hd and 4k content on my tv using my cell phone? As well on a samsung A12 cell is there a way to avoid the throttling speed and change the ttl? Thank you.
The TTL setting will allow you to go past the 20GB limit without throttling for most carriers. Check out my Insty Connect videos for more information on that solution.
@@SeleTrainingI have a samsung A12 cell. Can I change the ttl setting in it? If so would it be beneficial? I would like to get rid of my home internet and use my cell to tether / hotspot wifi to my tv for live IPTV and streaming services.
@@bigd8628 You don't need to change the TTL for a cell phone. It's alreay set to what you need. But the moment you tether is is going to throttle when you reach your data limit. That is why you need to use the phone adapter to connect to your TV because the cell phone does not limit the data. The alternative is to get an Insty Connect and put a SIM card in it to share data for all devices in your home. The Insty Connect has the TTL setting that will let you go past the data limit.
Something doesn't make sense here. At 2:16, the narrator says that you can use an hdmi/usb-c adapter to transfer the video and audio from the phone to the T.V., but at 2:50, he says that yo need a different type of system to transfer video from the phone to the T.V., which he refers to as "Mirroring". Isn't what he described at 2:15 "Mirroring"?
Great video, Jason! My question is about the HDMI adapter for android. Our android phones have the standard micro-usb port. Will the Belkin USB-c HDMI adapter still work properly if used with a separate micro-usb to USB-c adapter plug? TIA! Cheers, Marc 👍
Have a moto g stylus phone with unlimited mobile data. Was told no video output thru USBC connection if true ? How to watch on smart tv as I have no wifi in area. If false what adapter do I need to buy to connect.
Not sure if the moto g but youll only need to find a hdmi adapter made for that phone and it will transfer the screen directly to the hdmi input on your tv. Super simple.
There used to be a app that would use your 4g service and give it to whatever device you wanted to use. My ISP limits my WiFi and I somehow hit the limit just watching tv no gaming or anything and my hotspot is limited to 25gb which goes fast.
i tried the tethering with my jetpack and did not work. i set the TTL to 65 on my laptop, but i am only getting speeds of 1mbs. Does it only work with cell phones?
It will only work with a regular cell line. The Hotspot data plans are limited to the data cap and will throttle even if you use the TTL setting. Those plans don't have the streaming data option.
Will this REALLY work? I’m do afraid to buy this and find out it doesn’t work. I live way out in a small town and I have no internet, but I do have great data plan
Yes. It works but for the iPhone make sure to get the official Apple adapter. Most cheaper clones don’t have the electronics built in that is required and don’t work. Also if you have the iPhone 15 you’ll need the USB C version.
I have no broadband service hence no router, I connect my android tv box to my mobile phones hot-spot, that works perfectly, my android tv box can not use the netflix app, so I want to cast it from my mobile phone to my android tv box or projector, this requires using my phones wifi connection, the problem then is my mobile phone can't use my providers data (I'm with ID mobil), is there some kind of bridging to solve this problem, it's been a long time since I had a PC or laptop, I'm ex British army, royal Corps of Signals, so I'm no stranger to tech and comms, but this makes me want to bang my head on the wall
That’s the main issue with casting and why the only solution is to get the HDMI adapter to connect to your TV or projector. Then it will use the cell data for streaming. The other option is to get an Insty Connect router that uses your cell SIM to provide a hotspot to all your devices.
Visible Wireless offers unlimited hotspot data, with plans costing $30 and $45 per month. The $30 plan can "deprioritize" customers, but with the $45 plan, there will be less or no deprioritzation. Although for $50 per month you can get Verizon home internet.

How can I mirror Netflix from my iPhone to my non smart tv and no wifi . Help please 😂🙏🏻thanks from me in London🇬🇧❤
Just as mentioned in the video, you can get an HDMI adapter that will allow you to play videos on your phone and display it on your TV. You just need an HDMI port on your TV. See the correct adapter in the description of this video.
*How come only US made videos are simple and task oriented. No gibberish like the Phillipines TV to android connection? Is RUclips favoring USA? Hmmm??*
Education and culture make a world of difference plus this technologies have been used for generations, couple that with widespread higher "standards of living" leads to wide spread common use of new technologies Even if your broke or homeless in America, you have access to "luxuries" like first world infrastructure etc. And technologies as ubiquitous as this ones.
If you tether the internet connection from the phone to a computer, rather than use the hotspot feature, there is no throttling (??) at least that's what Verizon says
So if I use the tethering data trick, that will stop the throttling, but it will still continue to use my phone data, right? Sorry, this is wayyyy outta my lane lol.
Yes. If you use a hot spot data plan it will throttle once you hit the data cap. With a regular phone SIM it will provide streaming data and the TTL setting will prevent throttling once you go past the data cap.

As well on a samsung A12 cell is there a way to avoid the throttling speed and change the ttl? Thank you.
The TTL setting will allow you to go past the 20GB limit without throttling for most carriers. Check out my Insty Connect videos for more information on that solution.
@@SeleTraining do you have a direct link or links?
Great tips!
Does the adapter work with Motorola G Power?????
This adapter is for the iPhone but you should be able to find one for the Motorola. You just need one that connects it to an HDMI.
The adapter is an HDMI connection to the TV. Mirroring is a wireless connection.
I thought this video was informative and helpful
I can plug my Visible phone into my Linux Mint PC with a USB. Then use scrcpy command in terminal.
I have a dumb small Samsung tv. I would like to play my games on my from my iphone to my
TV, How?
This video will show you how to do that too. Just need the HDMI adapter
Thx
Great video, Jason! My question is about the HDMI adapter for android. Our android phones have the standard micro-usb port. Will the Belkin USB-c HDMI adapter still work properly if used with a separate micro-usb to USB-c adapter plug? TIA! Cheers, Marc 👍
I would go with a direct adapter for micro usb to hdmi. Better to avoid the multiple connections.
@@SeleTraining Thanks for the prompt reply. Is there a link for a direct micro USB to hdmi powered adapter? 👍
@@marcjoondeph7779 I haven't tried those so I don't want to provide a link but if you do find one that works let me know and I can add it.
@@SeleTraining Thanks! I'll let you know. 👍
Wondering if you found a micro usb to HDMI adapter? We will be using a cell activated for this for a college student
Thank you very helpful
There used to be a app that would use your 4g service and give it to whatever device you wanted to use. My ISP limits my WiFi and I somehow hit the limit just watching tv no gaming or anything and my hotspot is limited to 25gb which goes fast.
It’s not cheap but check out my video on the Insty Connect. With the TTL setting you can bypass the 25GB limits on your cell plan.
i tried the tethering with my jetpack and did not work. i set the TTL to 65 on my laptop, but i am only getting speeds of 1mbs.
@@SeleTraining Thankyou. I’m looking for that link now!!
The USB-C version is here: amzn.to/4dtWt67
How to tether your phone to laptop
Don't you have to have a usb-c 3.1 or higher to have video output from your phone? Most phones don't have this.
The iPhone still has the lightning connector
Has anyone tried the Belkin adapter with a Motorola moto e phone..2020 edition.
Genious
Great
I was wondering if the computer using my cellphone Hotspot will eat way more data than if i were just watching on my cell?
It depends on how you set the resolution of videos.
@@SeleTraining thank you but in general is it the same data used from a tablet cell phone and computer if they were all at the same resolution?
@@kikijames7612 Yes, basically the same. Video is what uses the most data so that is why the resolution makes a huge difference.
I got a question how can I tether or use my data without being limited
The key is to make sure you have a TTL setting of 65. Take a look at my Insty Connect or MoFi router for more details on how that works.
I tried the tethering trick, now my computer won't pick up any websites. Any suggestions?
You can set the DNS to automatic and reboot. That should get it back to the default settings.
@@SeleTraining any idea I can try to do the 65 again
Visible Wireless offers unlimited hotspot data, with plans costing $30 and $45 per month. The $30 plan can "deprioritize" customers, but with the $45 plan, there will be less or no deprioritzation. Although for $50 per month you can get Verizon home internet.
Visible often limits your data speed to 5Mbps as well so you’ll want to check that. T-Mobile has unlimited home internet for $30/mo.
@@SeleTraining Thank you!
I don’t have a smart tv and I don’t have wifi in my apartment block. How can I watch Netflix from my iPhone on to my big old Sony Bravia tv that’s not a smart tv as I bought the tv in 2008 . I do have unlimited 5 g data plan with my cell phone provider. So ; I have a non smart tv and no WiFi , but I’m fed up watching Netflix on my small iPad 10 inch and my iPhone 13 Pro Max .
Hi. I find it's just as expensive paying for apps as it is for 'cable'. Am I right?
Up to about $65 for live TV options but you can watch a bunch of TV shows with the free streaming apps too. It just depends on what channels you want.
I don't have an adapo
*How come only US made videos are simple and task oriented. No gibberish like the Phillipines TV to android connection? Is RUclips favoring USA? Hmmm??*
Education and culture make a world of difference plus this technologies have been used for generations, couple that with widespread higher "standards of living" leads to wide spread common use of new technologies
Even if your broke or homeless in America, you have access to "luxuries" like first world infrastructure etc. And technologies as ubiquitous as this ones.
So yeah not only that, you tube was made by and for America. In its beggings.
@@alex.joe.my.way8966very well put.
Cuz they speak fluent English. Phillipines struggle with everything not related to poverty.

I need to collect my phone to my internet so I can use my phone

If you tether the internet connection from the phone to a computer, rather than use the hotspot feature, there is no throttling (??) at least that's what Verizon says
It won’t throttle but they drop you to 3g. Terrible speeds
@@SeleTraining Thank you. I see that's why you recommend the Insty Connect.
How about iPads
iPads can use the same adapter for HDMI connectivity.
So if I use the tethering data trick, that will stop the throttling, but it will still continue to use my phone data, right? Sorry, this is wayyyy outta my lane lol.
Yes, it still counts all the data use but when you go over the data limit it won’t throttle the speed.
My old phone tethered to my Panasonic Viera no bother, this new Samsung Galaxy A12 just will not do it, and its driving me nuts.
Please how were you able to share you phone data with Panasonic viera. I tried it with EDUP wifi to RJ45 adapter it does not connect to server .
Like it
some companis dont allow this i guess.
atleast herre in nl
So this is Cellular data and NOT mobile hot spot?
Yes. If you use a hot spot data plan it will throttle once you hit the data cap. With a regular phone SIM it will provide streaming data and the TTL setting will prevent throttling once you go past the data cap.
Idk how to hook my phone to my tv
Use the adapter described in the video. It connects to hdmi.
