  • The fungal-fantastical. Emerging from their axial homes, fungi are beginning to be understood as nutrients to the human consciousness and ecological sustainability. Paul explores mycology and compels support for your own good nature and our fungal allies. This is the first in a collaboration of Louie Schwartzberg of Blacklight films ( bit.ly/Fantasti... ) and Paul Stamets of Fungi Perfecti ( fungi.net ).
    More to come!

    Beautifully done! Pauls words are as pertinent today as the day he said this. The psilocybin mushroom speaks and its warning us of our impendind doom while at the same time it shows us the irreplaceable beauty of a natural world that human greed and ignorance are destroying. Our self importance and ignorance has brought us not only to destroy First Nations People who lived here but to bring carnage to that which sustains all life, nature. I am in total sympathy to Paul's message. Bless him!

    When he says 'a force for good' I was like, 'huh.' Whatevs.
    Nature is, it exists and is hugely complex.
    Good or evil -- the categories don't apply unless
    one feels the need to make moral assessments about nature.
    At any rate, what he says about seeking a ('the') language of nature is fascinating.
    What a brilliant aim!

    Indigenous cultures around the planet have and had the knowledge of nature and how it works. Modern man in his quest to control has lost most of that and hides behind the limited sciences that know how things work in a microcosmic way (like studying the individual pieces of a jigsaw puzzle) but not the overall harmony and symbiotic relationship of how it is. The planet Earth developed with it's own intelligence for survival and providing, caring for life. Indigenous peoples learned that understanding and used it. Modern humanity is destroying that which took millions of years to create in a few decades and will destroy itself in the process. Joke, make inane comments or dismiss with indifference..all life is connected and dependent upon the other for survival. It is the sacred Law of Being .. and like it or not humanity is part of it.

    • @Pianofy
      @Pianofy 7 лет назад

      Hey friend. I would love to learn the indigenous way. Can I do that from home? ::) or is one required to go to indigenous people

    • @BuffaloRunQH
      @BuffaloRunQH 7 лет назад +2

      Hey Dirk .. there is probably a lot more online now than there used to be. Just check out the sources to insure that the authors or hosts are Indigenous. Most of the previous works published have been by anthropologists or sociologists and their theories or interpretations. But the best way of all is to format exactly what you truly want to learn, why and then approach an elder/elders of a local Indigenous or First Nations community. Find out the protocols for how to ask and go for it. UBC in Canada has just instituted a new experiential course in how to survive and live on the land in traditional format. I trust this has been helpful.

    • @Pianofy
      @Pianofy 7 лет назад +1

      Thanks.
      I live in Europe, so not many indigenous people around.
      I've met a woman who teaches shamanistic trance traveling, she's going to teach me and a friend next week.
      I also went to a hypnotherapist who teaches self-hypnosis. I am still getting better at it. Yesterday evening I went to a local forest and went into trance, and then attempted to commune with planet earth. I saw some things then. It was very symbolic.. I guess I will keep doing this and slowly getting into deeper contact with planet earth :) Which is partly why I'm interested in the indigenous.
      Thanks again.

    • @grantf6687
      @grantf6687 6 лет назад

      I think we can all remember the indigenous way, the native is in our heart when we find it. Everything has been changed from spiritual into material in this modern culture. IT is THE disease on earth. Our materialistic, ignorant ways. We need to find the way to connect and directly communicate with nature and consciousness(through our intuition and consciousness). It is the solution to healing everything. Mushrooms can be that connection again for us. But we have to learn from our experience, get rid of beliefs and when we are ready the mushrooms can teach us waht we need to know. Its super important to learn from your own experience and never create beliefs, as these will need to be cleaned out before you can continue to learn or evolve with nature. Beliefs are seperate from reality, and that doesn't work.
      What paul says is from personal experience IMO. He's amazing.

    The spirit of goodness will survive friend, in fact, most of us are good at the core. It is easy to look at bad things and assume they are the majority or everyone is like that but if you force yourself to see the good, you will notice that we are surrounded by it so much that we take it for granted and we fail to notice it.

    Try ! yes, always try, regardless of outcomes, make the effort in any subject by principles of good, at the least. i like what Paul says in this. i think this nature is exactly 50% good and bad at the same time. i think a truly good nature would not require any animals eating each other, and 100% good is only in spirit-dimesnions, whence we originate, where we've been before, yet we don't remember all that until we return back to true form, in true nature. earth nature is a sub-reality in my view. i believe spiritual nature is truly good, and each unique complex being manifest very accurately according to our attitude, actions and thinking, which is free to take any path in a myriad of many different ways to go. The important first thing is to care. When someone insensitively doesn't care and chooses a selfish rationale, it manifests rightly so. So, it should be no wonder of who you are, your circumstances and where you're at in relation to the omniscient source of all realities. Care ! Try! Generate Good, do something good, resist selfishness, resist cynicalness
