This is such a perfect explanation of the phenomena I feel like sets Pat’s asmr apart from almost every other creator I listen to. He lets the sounds breathe! It’s not constant and patterned and even when he doesn’t mix in talking, he varies the sounds and seems to be truly experimenting and allows for moments of quiet in between. You really nailed it!
It has something to do with how natural he behaves and sound settings. He has all the same microphones but God like settings. Better than 90-95 % of other asmrtists.

I have a 5 Tom dw trapset from my teenage hood at my family home, I used to play a lot and of course fell out of it Luke all things. I always loved how the snare sounded when I just tapped it with my finger tips, especially if you made those little metal springs looser. [Drum knowledge: limited, ASMR love: infinite]
