- The Joie Spin 360 is a swivel ISOfix car seat that can be used rear facing from birth to 18kg. In this video I explain how to install the Spin 360, as well as how to adjust the harness and how to use the newborn insert.

Years after uploading and you're still a lifesaver! I was just asking myself when would be a good time to remove my kids inserts, they are nearly two and I will absolutely try removing all the inserts with them now and see how itll fit. Thanks a lot for this very well produced video!

As a former professional installer of child restraints this video is very good. So great to see a video with adequate information and clear demonstration and good advice. If you're wondering how tight "very tight" is for 5 point harnesses : place two fingers together flat on the child's shoulder top beneath the strap pads along side the head. If you can roll them up vertically with the harness locked then it's still too loose. So basically you want one finger's worth of wiggle room across the circumference of the shoulder but no more. This will allow enough space for comfort and breathing room but they won't be able to to slip the harness during driving or a collision . Most people always have the straps too loose for fear of hurting the child. However if you start them off like this they'll never complain that it's too tight. This method will work every time and was instructed to me direct from the big name manufacturers . Hope that helps anyone who's interested.

Actually really helpful to see the different sized babies based on what clothing size they are in and not age :) definitely helped me decide how much of the newborn Insert I need :)

Brilliant video, thank you so much. My baby is 5weeks old and only had a couple car trips and I just didn’t think it looked right. I had the shoulder pads on wrong and know how to correct it now, thank you. And it was great to see the different stages for the inserts. This is exactly what I was hoping for.

A far better detailed video than the official one. We are currently struggling with our 4 month old who seems to slump their head forward. Going to try with just the wedge as that may solve the issue.

An excellent video! Me and my mum share a car seat for my nephew and he is now 11 months old and I’ve been using her car whenever I have to drive him anywhere (rather than moving the car seat into my car!) Considering I bought a new car especially so I’d be able to attach the isofix base I know this is ridiculous! Great video and very informative I had one of these spin 360s for my son when he was born 4 years ago it worked well for a few months and me and Mrs took my son out and we put him in his seat we heard the click when turned the seat soon as I moved off and went round a round about the swivel lock unlocked itself and the seat spun all the way round and not locking which left me losing confidence in the design and resulted going back to a traditional baby car seat
That sounds like a problem with your particular one that should be covered by the warranty. If you take it back to your retailer they will be able to get it repaired or replaced for you.

I used this seat for 6 months in the UK but they are illegal in Australia. I miss it so much - it was massively easier than the Australian seats to rear face older kids.

My head rest is hard to adjust though, im struggling to move it 😩 and the gap between the car seat and vehicle backrest is so tight for my hands to reach the swivel release 😢

Yes I know what you mean, it can be hard to get your hand in in some cars, it depends on the shape and angle of the car's backrest. I have not found the headrest hard to adjust though, it may just take a bit of getting used to.

Fab video thank you😊 My little boy is 9 & a half months. We are currently using the stage 3 wedge in the seat I know it’s recommended around 15 months taking it out but at nearly 10 months old he’s basically sitting on top of the seat with the wedge and looks so uncomfortable the straps also don’t sit next to his neck properly. With wedge taken out he sits more in the seat properly now but is this safe for the wedge to be out at his age?
Totally. All babies are different sizes, the age given is just a guide, but you can remove the wedge when it no longer looks comfortable.
