- Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are celebrating the announcement of the 32-year-old's first pregnancy, with a baby expected to arrive in autumn 2021. It's great news for the young royal and her family, but some people are looking at the timing of the announcement and wondering if there isn't a little shade being thrown in the process.
The announcement happened to land on the same day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were celebrating their third anniversary as a couple, leading some to speculate that the announcement was purposefully meant to draw attention from their own special day - and there's good reason to think that may be the case. Harry did not hand frogmore cottage over to his cousin That is not his property, it is the Queens. The decision was hers and hers alone.
The property, along with countless others, belongs to the Crown Estate. The Queen has the right to live in these properties - and allocate them to her family members - but she doesn't own them.
Harry cannot receive rent for something he doesn’t own. He also backdated and paid back all the rental fee he owed from living there and all the funding for the refurbishment of the building.

Eugenie and her family are staying at her parents home, and it was the Queen who suggested Eugenie live in Frogmore Cottage.
I think they may be back at Frogmore. The reason they left was bc she was pregnant and there was a lockdown. I heard there is a closed off part (servant quarters?) that Harry was staying during his quarantine.

It doesn't seem to be in her genetics to be as comparatively thin as she is. As far as H staying at Frogmore, he has stayed there on previous visits so him staying elsewhere now would start even more rumors about “why Harry wasn’t allowed to stay at his former residence.” Regardless of the recent controversies, Her Majesty still has more class in her pinky fingernail than H&M do in their entire organization. She would probably want to minimize rumors as much as possible.

Prince Harry is and always will be a member of the Royal Family and currently 6th in line to the throne. He’s son of the heir apparent and brother of the future heir and therefore his children are more entitled to styles and titles then those of someone who is much further removed form the Crown.
It seems people forget Her Majesty is Queen of the Commonwealth and the UK only represents 2% of her realm. The largest members of the CW include much of Africa where Harry is adored. What you read in the tabloids is rumor and innuendo. There may be discord between Harry, his father and his brother but neither can afford to alienate him, especially Charles. They’ll work it out otherwise what does that say about the two men who collectively will be King for the next 30-40 years?
The critics forget, or never even knew, how much Harry did to support the Queen and Crown abroad while Will and Kate were settling into marriage and parenthood. That’s when he became immensely popular and respected all over the World. His compassion, empathy and ability to put himself at the level of the people reminded everyone of his mother. That was great for the Crown.The Queen acknowledges his contributions and Knighted him for them. She also recognized the difficult position he and Meghan were in prior to their departure. Meg was never given a chance by most of the family members and certainly not the majority of the UK public and as such was subjected to the most brutal character assassination by the British press further perpetuating the hatred toward her. Harry was infuriated and his wife and son were getting death threats and obviously unwelcome in the Country he so loyally served so he made the decision to walk away. Who could blame him? He did what he thought was best for the mental and physical well-being of his family. Privileged or not I can’t imagine how hard it was for him to leave the home he loved and be faced with becoming financially independent to the extent he could provide the kind of life for his children that he was taking them away from.
When it was clear the public wasn’t embracing Meg one has to wonder if Will and Charles didn’t secretly want the Sussexes to leave because their very presence impacted their future job security. Megxit has surely elevated the popularity of the Cambridges and the Firm as a whole. Will and Kate have stepped up beautifully and proven that the initially ridiculed Duchess is the best thing to happen to that family in decades. It’s also given Bea and Eugenie an opportunity to take on larger roles when Charles had planned to 86 them after Harry married.
Pardon my digression but my point is Harry had EVERY right to name his daughter Lilibet/ Lili even if it was after the reigning Monarch however that was not his motive. It’s common knowledge prior to Megxit, Harry was the Queen’s favorite grandson and for all we know that hasn’t changed. Nothing could be more fitting and appropriate than him naming his daughter after his beloved grandmother and if she has a heart in her chest she’s nothing but honored. As you said the Queen has to maintain the appearance that the Crown comes first and right now any positive sentiment toward the Sussexes infuriates their critics and impacts the popularity of the RF. No one could ever accuse her of not putting Crown and Country first but in the final analysis she is a woman, daughter, sister, wife, grandmother and great grandmother first and her family is her true legacy.
It’s all quite sad that it doesn’t seem to resonate with many Americans besotted with the Firm that Lilibet Diana is the first member of the British Royal Family to be born on US soil. She’s one of us!

Eugenie and Jack did not stay long at Frogmore Cottage, in the end they moved into Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew and the Duchess of York. Frogmore Cottage was vacant.

I thought Frogmore was Harry’s wedding gift from the Queen. Since he has reimbursed the Crown for the cost of renovations I can’t imagine she’d give it to someone else. He’s still her grandson and I’m sure she holds out hope that he will return to the UK at some point. He still hasn’t filed for Citizenship in the US.
I’m surprised neither Zara nor Bea named their baby after their grand father, the DOE. Especially Zara considering Philipa is a gorgeous and unique name and it literally means lover of horses.
