The backpack ticks me off, but I can’t necessarily see that many things they could have changed for a deluxe scale figure. When it comes to being originally a fan made design/retool would be pretty good in the fan made category. When Hasbro eats that idea and dumps it into the line, isn’t as fascinating and good as the original.
Well it wasn't really a fan made one. Hasbro designed how the figure would work then they just had a Fan sculpt the look of the dino mode.
And if it didn't Fauxform then it could have at least had the tail move thus freeing up some space in the Back Pack.
@@PerspectiveEnd true! I do think the wings could fold in to the shoulders in expense to making it a voyager. If they kept it a deluxe, they could in the least make the wings smaller ( still not being accurate to a real pterosaur ) to ease up the hikers backpack 🎒 that he has. :/

Well of being decent. If it didn't have the QC problems, and if the paint was a little more, than it could have been decent, but if they wanted it to be good they probably had to get rid of the Fauxforming.
This is probably one of my favourite golden disk figures,its just accurate and cool,i love the way that he looks with the alt mod,this is the first time i see a unique terrosaur figure

I was hoping that Terrorsaur would’ve gotten a new mold, or at least the “Tigatron treatment” with Airazor instead, seeing as he was actually pretty big in comparison to other characters
Terrorsaur was the same height as Waspinator, so he's honestly now kind of bigger than he should be, though that can also be phrased as Waspinator being too small.
Out of all of the Golden Disk subline, this is the only one I actually wanted. And I’m so glad I preordered this when I did, cause I am NOT about to pay 70+ dollars for what is essentially a 25 dollar figure.
And that’s what this feels like to me: a 25 dollar figure. Not amazing, but still pretty good on a subjective level. I absolutely love how Terrorsaur looks with the other Predacons, and the Vok Disk is really cool, even if still inaccurate.
I do understand the problems with it, but I’m too excited to have a Terrorsaur to care honestly. I hope everyone is able to get one at retail price at some point, cause it’s really good, but not worth aftermarket prices.
I wouldn't call this a 25 dollar figure, like an 18 dollar one at best, but yeah I'd be livid at 75.
6:09 Yes, that’s a misassembly. I think every copy has it. It’s simply fixed though since the wing hinges are friction joints. Pop them off and flip those pieces to the smooth sides.
not every copy, mine is correct. mine also has good ankles. I DO have the loose wing tip joint thing though. So my issues are the reverse of this example.
I figured that was the case, I felt important to show how it arrived though.
I feel like the thought proccess at hasbro was like "he has wings and hes gonna be an exclusive MAKE HIM AIRAZOR"

This figure annoys me, Terrorsaur is one of my favourite Beast Wars characters, and most or if not all of his figures have been lackluster, Hasbro had a chance to change that with this release but they didn't
Yeah, I really wish they went all out with this guy, he deserved it, even if it's basically impossible for them to get the backpack right he deserved better than this.
Man, I love this thing, I can't get my hands off of this little red guy.

I can say it's a 50/50 for me. One one hand the robot mode looks nice despite the choices and qc, his blaster looks good and the disc as well even if it's wrong and a direct copy from the Ark set.
But on the other, that Pterosaur mode (which I'm definetly calling it a Ludodactylus and a weird one if you may) for Terrorsaur looks so damn horrible. I get it's trying to be like the show, but man even then it looks bad due to Hasbro copy and paste a Airazor mold with few changes to the new designer to make.
Honestly, an easy skip for me because I have a Airazor thank you very much.
There's a lot they really could have done to fix this, and alot of it stems from the fact that they tried to change the base mold in the first place.
Like if the Tail wasn't a fake part then it would ironically make the backpack way smaller and make him way more balanced.
Honestly outside of his ankles (which I was able to fix by borrowing my sister’s nail polish) I actually like this guy, after finding him for the normal price on Amazon

Interesting. I'm glad you like him. But I can't help but see areas where he'd be improved.
I can see the flaws in the figure, but I'm honestly good enough with the figure for now until they decide in making a better version, even if it's kind of a horrible retool from Airazor. I just need a Scorponok now to pretty much finish the cast till Tarantulus and Inferno come out later in the year, but there's no way in hell I'm buying the Kingdom one lol
You won't buy the Kingdom Terrorsaur, or Tarantulas and Inferno? Also there isn't going to be a Kingdom Version of any of those, Tarantulas and Inferno are both Legacy figures and this is a Golden Disk one.
@@PerspectiveEnd I already have Terrorsaur, he came in early Feburary before my Birthday. And I also know they're gonna be Legacy figs and that I am gonna buy them (unless they turn out like shit which hopefully they won't)
Really bummed out terrosaur turned out like this, more silver paint maybe a darker shade of red for the inside of the wings and better sculpting for the Pteranodon mode and I probably would've been sold on this guy
Yeah that would have probably tipped the scales, but he could have been great if they just didn't make him fauxform cause then the backpack would be smaller and not sticking over his head, and he'd be better balanced.
I got this figure for a very decent price, and considering all his flaws, i still quite like it. But i hate his feet. Why are we suppose to fix things that hasbro must do

Dang it’s times like these I want to go and start my own company and make chug styled figures but not cut corners and try to deliver a completely accurate and functional figures here’s hoping they do a masterpiece and it doesn’t suck
Any version of this character was going to be hard to do considering how much the robot mode cheats, but they could have done better than this.
@@PerspectiveEnd definitely I’ve already thought of ways they could have done this better just by doing a new figure but instead money grubbing hasbro knew they could release this and people would eat it up
I pre-ordered it on Amazon in November and forgot about it until it showed up. He is severely flawed, but he puts me ever so close to finishing my Beast Wars season 1 collection.
And that is the only real reason to want one of these. To Finish the S1 Cast.

Cause weirdly enough they changed more than they should have. The tail should have acted just like the bird head. But they changed it for no reason.
I personally quite like how this figure turns out, I like it quite a bit. That being said, I understand your dissapoinment of how innacurate it looks and the Pterodactyl mode, I personally don't mind it and It think it's not too bad but obviously the robot mode is better. The paint aps and the accecories are great in my opinion. This is a flawed figure, but the one that I personally don't mind and yeah, it's definitely not as good as some other figures from the Kingdom line. Anyway, great review.
I just think there are a lot of things that could have been fixed about this. And there's stuff they Ironically broke by trying to upgrade the figure.
Yeah those parts on the wings are misassembled, all you gotta do is just pop them out and flip them around, they come out pretty easy

im not saying they shoud do a earthrise for the beast era or prime or any couse thats just the same problem but with a diferent box

Yeah, it's clear that later iterations of the Franchise, are well respected by Hasbro.
I don't mind all the tooling, I think the figure looks pretty great for what they had to work with! My only complaint is the ankle ball joints on mine are super loose so he kinda has to do a michael Jackson lean to stand up. Also weird he came with the Vok disk but oh well, I have the Ark and other disk lol
See here's the thing. If they just made the tail the real part on his chest then it would have actually freed up a lot of space in the backpack.
It wouldn't be sticking up over his head, and the figure wouldn't be so off balance because of all the excess weight in the backpack.
You have to wonder how Kingdom has devolved from the best part of the trilogy, to just…. Mediocrity. Wave 1 was fantastic, we got way more beats then G1 bots, and the G1 bot we got was great. And the beast were even better. Look to now and we’re getting repaint after repaint, a few remolds the are worse then the original, and the few completely new figs like wasponator, just kinda meh. A little sad to cape off the WFC like this,

Did you know that Laszlo ven is making a fan made transformers movie for the bayverse but minus the shit how cool is that They even have official voice acting and models so the they can finish the bayverse. Some models are going to some what same to the movies but some of the like elita 1 are going to be drastically changed you should definitely check this out

That's pretty much the only reason to want one.
I just got this guy and while still expecting him to be bad, my God was he worse than I expected, he has some really loose parts like his thighs while his shins and shoulders are so tight I fear I'll break them, also his wings and dino head constantly pop off. I like how he looks but he's one of the first figures I actively don't want to mess with
1:45 Has to make you wonder how someone could do a masterpiece version of Terrorsaur. It’s one thing with the wings becoming smaller, but it’s another when a lot of the red from the pteranodon mode becomes silver.
Someone’s definitely going to have to sell their soul to make a truly accurate masterpiece Terrorsaur. They might even have to sell their firstborn too.
I'm assuming that's the reason they haven't yet. Those are going to need to fold like mad, or Partsform.
I never grew up with beast wars, though I've been watching it when I can on tv, so I have no attachment to the character. The second this set of figures was revealed as exclusives I tuned it out, but that is so terrible for all the fans, this is like what his first figure since the 90s?

I have NO idea how they did that but if you want to watch the show that's the best place to do it.
Looking close at the new Crossover Megs, it seems to be a different sculpt, the legs ending up on the bottom and the arms on top(?). Looks to be commander class, I think I will get it, what are your thoughts

I’m honestly a little jealous, I’ve wanted this guy since he was announced and I never had the chance to grab him. There’s suppose to be a toy colors one in Buzzworthy but unless it looks stellar I’m not getting a Terrorsaur with pointless blue one him. Also hopefully I’ll be getting in Sl(a)ug sometime next week so I’m looking forward to that.

Yeah that's likely the best most affordable way to get this figure.
Normally I think you're a bit too harsh but this time you're right on the money. It's particularly jarring how many reviewers are calling this a 'great' or 'excellent' figure when realistically I think they're just happy to have gotten a Terrorsaur figure at all. I'm satisfied with it for what it is at MSRP but any more than that feels like a huge rip off.
Also I really don't get why they couldn't have 'flipped' the beast mode such that the pterosaur tail functions like the beast mode head. It could've solved a lot of problems with both modes.
Exactly, making the Tail non Fauxforming, actually makes the figure easier to design and more accurate looking.

@@PerspectiveEnd I didn't realize this was designed by a fan until I saw your video. Knowing that, I can see how maybe the designer just didn't consider that solution given their inexperience, or perhaps some other restriction imposed by Hasbro.
I never had a Traffic Cone icon but at this point I feel like I have to since you've brought it up a few times!
I'm typically lenient on deluxes, especially retools of other deluxes. They have budgets and limitations to adhere to, so I mostly get it.
This figure really annoyed me though. Basic stuff like colour separation, proper tooling and solid tolerances; apparently none of that matters. Terrorsaur pushed my patience on stuff like this to the limit.
And the sad thing is it didn't have to be this bad. Like if they just didn't do the Fauxforming and had the tail be the chest, then the backpack wouldn't be sticking up over the head, the Backpack over all would be smaller and lighter, unbalancing the figure less, the wings would end up in the correct orientation, and the head could have ended up how it was supposed to.
It's not just cheating this time. It actively makes the figure worse.
@@PerspectiveEnd I don't mind the fauxforming so much personally. I just want it to stand up, hold together and give me colour beyond 'just red'. Bare minimum.
And that's what I'm saying. Without that, it would stand better, because the weight would be better distributed, the beast mode would be thinner, and the tail in beast mode would have the spots it needs.

I’m personally fine with the Airazor mould, don’t really need Terrorsaur now. I felt if he was a new mould made specifically for him then I would be convinced but sadly he’s not.
Airazor's a good one, Terrorsaur is a worse one, I can't say I blame how you fele.
By the way, did you see the new Transformers x G.I. Joe crossover figure on BBTS? Probably the first crossover figure-disregarding those MP Optimus’s-in the mainline that isn’t it’s own figure. The Megatron does look kind of cool, though it is weird seeing Megatron turn into a H.I.S.S. Tank.
I did, the Megatron looks very interesting, I just don't know why is Fusion Cannon is so hollow thought.

Yeah, she really does kick the crap out of this guy.
My main gripe with this figure is that it only comes with one laser gun instead of two, since the only place to tab the laser gun into, when Terrorsaur is in beast mode, is the side of the leg, and having only one laser gun takes away the symmetry of the beast mode.
Yeah, I get why he only came with one. He only ever had one in the show, but symmetry is nice.

I like this figure but I made the mistake of throwing away the box along with those elbow pieces. I contacted Hasbro’s customer service about it, but they don’t have replacement parts for this figure. 😢
Yeah that sucks, they are so easy to miss back there in that weird little Tissue Paper sheet. Hasbro needs to stop putting accessories on the back of the box inserts.
DAMN IT (excuse my French) i keep getting pictures on Instagram for this guy, and when i ordered mine on Amazon, it was the last one available because this dude sold out within a week. So he randomly got on stock, so i hopped on that real quick. But when he was supposed to ship, it didn't, like, at all. So Amazon changed the shipping status from "arriving feb 3rd" to "order purchased" a.k.a. get slagged idiot. So, basically he's not coming in and everyone is just, "yo, i got him" and it's annoying

@@PerspectiveEnd ok, situation update, I found another amazon listing from the UK that had him for about $36. I cancelled the original order and got that one. I thought I was good, I've gotten multiple figures from Amazon UK, (The fan vote 3-pack and ER Dirge & Ramjet specifically come to mind) so I thought it would come in. It never did. But luckily on the last Fan First Tuesday, I checked Hasbro Pulse's Back in stock tab, because sometimes they restock figures on FFT/FFF and low and behold, I bought him. And a wise man once said....................

Well to be fair they didn't. What they did is the designed the retool, and they did it like shit, THEN they hired an artist to sculpt what the dino mode would look like. But they were saddled with how everything worked already.

Got all four Golden Disk Collection sets. Jackpot with Sights, Road Ranger and Puffer, Mutant Tigatron, and this lava infused Terrorsaur.
He doesn't look Lava Infused.
In the Golden Disk Collection story for the Terrorsaur chapter, he didn't die. When the quantum surge hit, the lava he fell in, protected him, and infused him with lava energy like fire breathing power. And something about him wanting to use this power to take command of the Predacons. I honestly like this reddish look for Terrorsaur, compared to his Beast Wars cartoon colors.
How fitting that the figure arrived the same day as your review. He’s definitely a downgrade from airazor. He’s just alright in my opinion. Tigatron is definitely the superior golden disk figure. The thing I hate the most about this figure though is that hasbro didn’t fix the vok disk and IT STILL SAYS SOUNDS OF EARTH ON IT. It shocks me that so many people tell me I’m wrong about that

So far pretty much. Blackarachnia is probably the least weird of them and she's very breakable.

Hey I know you said you don't want people to offer you figures, but at the Walmart I work at got in the core class Kingdom Hot Rod and I bought it. I bought it because the sword he comes with combines with the "weapons" of the upcoming core class Legacy Skywarp and Igaunus and I plan on getting Igaunus when that figure comes out. After getting him I was a little bit disappointed in the figure. My work also got in the retro re-release of Beast Wars Scorpinox and I think that it would be interesting to see a video of you reviewing the Beast Wars original and while making comparisons to the Kingdom figure to see what each figure did right and what each figure could have been done better.

Usually, I don't care about the first designs of characters. But after seeing what could have been.. Man, it would have been better go with the first design..

Did get my Terrorsaur from Hasbro Pulse back in late January. He does suffer from the issue where one of the pegs on the wings pops off easily. He did have loose ankles, but did add white-tac to them and now are stiff enough to hold a pose.
But yeah, even despite him being a retool of Airazor with its many flaws, I actually really like him, which is odd considering I never cared for the character in the show.
Really? I enjoyed him a lot in the show. I kind of want to know what it would have been like if he had survived the first season.

if Golden Disk collection was available in Russia(shut up) - he would be the only figure I'd get from Beast Wars-inspired figures
See if it Didn't Fauxform it would be actually fine though. The Backpack would be way smaller and not sticking up over the head, so it would look better. It would have more poseability. The Transformation would be fun, and there wouldn't be so much weight back there meaning the figure would balance better.

To be honest.... hasbro is to blame, if i was the artist with all the limitation i would'ved done the same thing.
Exactly, hasbro are the ones who made the mold unworkable, it still doesn't change the fact that the Artists work looked bad, it's just not their fault.

I... What!? That's exactly what Terrorsaurs beast head looked like in the show! He's the only modern beast wars update besides Ravage to even have a show accurate beast head! What the hell do you mean it isn't accurate!? It sure as fuck doesn't look like ANY Pterodactyl head recreation, because those fuckers NEVER had teeth, or an upward curved beak like that! This is the exact kind of beast mode head you have been begging for since images of the Kingdom figures first dropped!
It's too Gnarly(The artist made it clear that hasbro wanted a very gnarly dino head) and it's too vertically thick. Terrorsaurs faces was a lot more narrow than that.
And plus terrorsaur can be a perfect crossover mold as Rodan
I don't know that this works great for Rodan, but it's I guess a reasonable possibility.
I wasn't able to get this figure so I will need to get the rumoured toy coloured one, which could look better due to the extra blue paint, but that does mean it wont be show accurate.
I do hope the Toy Colored one looks cooler.
You can just wait for the toy color version. Should be more visually interesting

Preordered mine. It arrived missing its head in both modes. Can’t get a new copy because it’s sold out so I just get a refund. Now if I wanted it, I’d have to pay near 200$ for it which it is NOT worth. Guess I’ll miss out on it like the cone head two pack.

I do hope that we, eventually, get new figures for Rampage and Depth charge mostly due to the fact that Depth Charge's and Rampage's original figure from the 80's could be redesigned in a way to make a new one with changes to make them up to modern day standards
1). decrease the size to leader (around SS86 Grimlock) as whilst they weren't the tallest they were definitely larger robots compared to other characters like Cheetor or Waspinator
2). Depth's figure needs to lose the disk launcher gimmick as it made the figure extremely top heavy and harder to stand without the tail still attached. So all they gotta do is remove the disk launcher, make the back piece hinge down to get rid of some of the back weight and BOOM problem solved
3). They need to figure out a way to make Rampage less top heavy as this was a major issue with the original figure.
4). Rampage might need to loss the tank treads because I don't see a good way to incorporate them unless they wanna do a repeat of the original and have them store in the claws
Give them these changes as well as modern day possibility and their iconic weapons and they're all set to go.
Oh we better at some point.

if we have to be precise, this is technically what Terrosaur was envisioned back in the 90s. Like, this figure looks amost exactly like how his original one was, with the wings and the dino head on the back. That's what Terrorsaur should look like, not the "impossible to transform and made because yes" shitty animation model. Like, i personally think this mold fits him more than Airazor. And sorry, but without the back it just looks like a generic cannon fodder bad guy
I would not call the Animation Model shitty. Impossible and Cheating yes, but it looks way cooler than this. And I don't think there's anything generic about him.
Also the original toy actually had significantly less kibble in both modes than this.
I'm sad/mad because I pre-ordered this months ago, then it shipped early at the beginning of this month, but because a snowstorm blew through my area, it got held up and then lost at an Amazon facility. I don't care that it's not an amazing rendition of Terrorsaur, the completionist demon in me demands one, and I'm frustrated that all Amazon customer support could do was refund me when I wanted them to light a figurative fire at the facility that lost it. I'm also very frustrated that I'm so upset about a toy. I don't want the toy color accurate version that's rumored as a Target exclusive, I want this one. Ugh.
I mean I think either version probably requires exactly as much Paint as the other to look right, so maybe you could buy the toy one and doctor it your self.
I'm passing on this one. When I heard terrorsaur was coming out I was excited. Until I found out it was an exclusive. The transformation is kinda of meh. And those prices jeez. Might just save my money for a 3rd party version, if that were happen

I think it was a good attempt given that they were working with the Airazor mold (which is amazing, but really doesn't suit him). Could have used more silver paint, and I wish it was a regular release, but other than that I think hes fine. Now to figure out how I'm going to find one for a reasonable price😧
Here's the thing. I don't think it was a good attempt, because if it was a Good Attempt they'd have had the tail become the chest piece. That would have made the bird mode slimmer, and it would have given them more room to play in the transformation.
I think that a lot of this figure's issues are more of a result of general problem that every Beast Wars season 1 character sufferes. Where the animators made the characters look more appealing, but for the cost of design that are near immpossible to translate into faithful figures, especially on the retail budget. In Terrorsaur's case, his cartoon robot mode is a tad too bulky to efortlessly compress under his beast mode, not to mention necessary beast mode parts were shrunken almost out of existence in his show model, making kibble problems unavoidable. So with all of that I think that while coloring and QC issues are just a result of lack of money and care, I still think they did the best they could with the given task, plus Airrazor mold was the best and honestly the only good choice when it came to creating a new Terrorsaur figure.
Here's the problem with that. This Terrorsaur made him way less bulky, and he still doesn't compress in any believable way under the Pterodactyl mode.
Honestly if they just did away with the Fauxforming, it would have made his backpack smaller, and it would have given him less to just leave under the beast mode.
This would be a nice figure to get so the only character that would be missing from a season 1 cast is turantulus expect this is an amazon exclusive aka free scalper bait. This could fit as a late kingdom release or a wave 2 legacy figure
I find with amazon exclusive it’s 1 of 3 way to get 1 it goes to a generation selects release, 2 you bite the bullet with hasbro pulse shipping, 3 the planets align and it’s fairly priced on amazon.

Here’s a fact to my knowledge there are rumors of terrorsaur in toy accurate colors in the the buzz worthy line along with rumors of of sliverstreak red cog and and another 4 pack with gold bug ransack(from the kickback mold) toy accurate scorpinok and paralyzer(from the waspinator mold)

ok i was reading some of the comics from 3h prod and there was an interesting character named fractyl, fractyl was a predacon scientist that was never appreciated by megatron and his only friend vice grip was one of the few who cared about him one time when he made a bomb to attack the maximals, the maximal packrat stole it knowing it was not prepared yet for anything and would kill both sides he had to do something so he stopped the maximal and saved the day, after joining the wreckers he spittor primal prime and rodimus came to cheer up arcee when most of them gave up the sympathetic fractly knew what arcee was feeling and cheered her up from her depression admitting even he had lost a friend (mostly vice grip) after arcee was done with her depression... he was shot in the back by blastcharge and quake ( in the tankor toy design with quake colors) almost killing him and when arcee didn't want him to die she upgraded him to his new and improve transmetal upgrade joining back with the wreckers fractly gives blastcharge karma by slicing him in half in the end of the story him and arcee buried the body of rodimus after the leader's sacrifice. fractyl represents even some bad people have a heart even if they are bad they care for those who they are close with and that was fractly ( this was the most thing i could talk about fractyl and my appreciation on the predacon)
Yeah, a bunch of people are really hoping for a Fractyl I get comments about that fairly regularly.
I like the golden disk having both sides, because since I don’t have the regular sounds of earth one, I can just display my Megatron (yess) with either disk. Idk if that made sense but yeah. Those are my thoughts.
See the problem with that though is that the Golden Record has a different side as well. It's only a record on top. On the Underside it's a diagram.
So no matter what even if you pretend the alien side isn't there then it's still not right.

Personally I have no problems with this version of terasour outside a few miner ac problems but it's definitely in middle tier in my list of Kingdom figures but it does kind me sad we're already at the end of Kingdom just waiting on blaster to end the Kingdom line

Yeah, that sucks... I found mine a two hour drive away by odd luck. I found it at a target that only had figures I had already owned. Just by chance the 2nd time I went around the same isle someone had just restocked the section. I know not everyone has that much free time but I'm sure luck will find its way somehow. I forgot he had arm blades and in the box they're stored on the back of the insert. And I accidentally threw them away with the box and now every time I look at this figure I hate myself just that little more.

Why is terrorsaur like the only cartoony looking kingdom figure? He looks so out of place on a beast wars kingdom collection if your displaying them In beast mode

I do not want to do that because the shipping costs quickly outweigh the price of the figure. Like it can easily be 18 bucks to ship a figure 1 way and then another 18 to ship it back.
At that point it's just cheaper to buy the figure, and I don't like wasting you guy's money.

Bought one when it was cheap to flex on my friends, bought a second to repaint into Swoop when a local Aussie game store got a couple in since I'm weak.
Do I regret it? A little. But do I like the figure? Yeah, I like it fine enough, personally. Looks great next to Puffer, Road Ranger and Jackpot at least. :P

The backpack just kind of disappeared in the show. Probably why we haven't seen an MP of him yet.

Even if the disc design is wrong, it’s a good idea to have the different sides as different discs cus you can’t really display the disc on both sides at onc
I mean there are ways, Especially if you have the characters holding it and looking at it. Right. If they are facing you and you have the correct side facing them then the wrong side is facing you.
If Hasbro retools Tarantulas from Black Arachnia, I hope it doesn't turn out like Terrorsaur did.

I was going to buy Golden Disc Terrorsaur, but he was sold out in Britain, so I opted to buying his transmetal toy from 1998, which was a satisfactory purchase.
