Project: Two Victron 48V Quattros will be stacked to create split phase alternating current (AC) at 120 / 240 Volts, 60 Hz (North America); the 240 voltage accommodating appliances: like an induction cooktop, tankless water heater. Each identical 48V Quattro generating 120 volts are combine to make 240 volts total. Not to be confused with two 120 volt Quattros wired in “parallel” which simply increases the 120 volt power available. One Quattro will provide energize L1 and the other Quattro will energize L2 on the main service panel. Question 1: Should the neutral and grounds be separated; like in a sub-panel, because one of the Quattros will be considered the main? Question 2: Should the neutrals conductors from each Quattro be combined on to the main service panel neutral terminal or remain separated on to their respective neutral terminals? Please advise.
