    I fail to see where the balance leads are connecting,they dont balance the cells individually? or how is this works?

    • @Artekenergy
      @Artekenergy 3 дня назад

      Hi, the balance boards are internal to the batteries, not a part of the external BMS. Victron BMS's receive error codes from the boards inside the batteries to shut down either charging or discharging for protection.

      @@Artekenergy Sounds good,but do the user have any control over how it is balanced? or Victron beeing real good at it,and we dont need to do anything? becouse always balance is not good,more like top balance maybe

    Hello and good for the video I wanted to ask you if it is possible to install the bms from victron (16S for a packlife that I have in 48 volts? 600AH)? or do you have to have a victron battery? my batteries are EVE 280AH in 16/2P can we wire all the batteries with the bms from victron or do we need a bms compatible with the victron? otherwise is it possible if there is no can in the battery pack to tell victron (multiplus and cerbo GX) that I have a lead gel battery pack? there is no bms on the lead in general? my pack can be protected by its own BMS cutoff 2.80 volts and maximum charge at 3.65 volts Possibly just to emit more or less on the multiplus? thank you laurent

    Really clean design, if possible it would be great to integrate security cameras such as those from GOST. Having the ability to monitor all my systems including the cameras all on one monitor would be absolutely next level!

    • @Artekenergy
      @Artekenergy Месяц назад

      Hey, this is definitely something that is frequently asked and would be a great addition. Because Garmin does not have any remote monitoring or control abilities at the moment it would have to come from an external source such as GOST. We actually have a system of theirs from them and it is on the development list at the moment but we are not sure about timeline as that list is rather long at the moment. We definitely hear you though, and its a great point so thanks for bringing it up. We love feedback like this as we are constantly looking for ways to make the system more complete and more robust!

      @@TsekeRiba You could typically go well under. Typical residential panels will run anywhere from 35-45v and the wattage rating of the MPPTs state you could get away with as low as a 35A charge controller. But we would want to make sure on the panel specs hence reach out if you have any questions! Without double checking their specs we would be leaning towards a 150/35 and save money compared to the 260/60. However, once again, this should be verified.

    Hi Sam, I understand the reasoning of a battery protect on the 12 volt load side, but I just can't wrap my head around placing one on the charging side? Specifically, why have I only seen it used on the solar chargers and not the DCDC chargers. Would a good BMS perform the same function?

    • @Artekenergy
      @Artekenergy Месяц назад

      Hi Peter, great question! It can be used on the charging side of things as an an analog option for that disconnect. For example the smaller Victron solar charge controllers don't have a remote trigger port to be controlled by a BMS so adding in a battery protect can act as this interrupt. Specifically with the solar charge controller side of things you could also use a VE.Direct Non Inverting Remote On/Off Cable to act as this disconnect, hence you have two options here. The DC/DC chargers typically will have a remote analog trigger and hence do not rely on the external battery protect. In regards to the BMS, Victron Smart Lithium batteries do not have an internal BMS and only the LYNX BMS has a physical contact to disconnect the system meaning the others rely on controlling external disconnects in the system. There are significant advantages to this, but are also some cons. Feel free to email us if you have any questions!

    Is it something similar for Garmins Skipper system? Like Fountain Pajot uses.

    • @Artekenergy
      @Artekenergy Месяц назад

      Hi. It is similar but it can be used in more applications than just that industry. It also has more CAN integration compatibility than the skipper system, meaning a more complete control system within one ecosystem.

    Hello. In the case of 8 lithium batteries 100 amps each, total 800 amps, what would be the recommended BMS? 500 or 1000? I would also need 2x Distributors for the batteries, right? Is it possible to use the M8 distributors with the BMS 1000 (M10)? thanks !!

    Sorry, but I did not follow this setup. What was that last item you connected up? I think you connected the Cerbo at the wrong port.

    • @Artekenergy
      @Artekenergy 4 месяца назад

      Hi John, you more than likely did not follow this setup. This is specifically for an RVC network for connecting up the Wakespeed and Victron systems into a Multiplex system, in our case our Garmin Core System. A few notes, you were more than likely using a Cerbo GX not the Cerbo GX MKII. One key difference is that on the MKII we can configure both of the CAN ports hence why we set the VE CAN 2 (previously BMS CAN on the Cerbo) to RVC allowing us to use that port in this set up when previously we could not. The last item in the system is an RVC Multitap specific to RVC networking. Unless you are installing a multiplex system you would more than likely not have used this. This set up SHOULD NOT be followed for a traditional Victron and Wakespeed set up when a multiplex is not in play. If you have any questions please reach out to us, happy to explain further!
