Loving my pixel 8 pro , swapped from my iPhone 15 pro and no regrets.
What do you prefer of the pixel over iPhone?
this feels.... not real?
@@samuelrodrigues8535what
I sold my iPhone 14 pro and bought a Pixel 8 pro and I absolutely love it.
@@1PaulJ I think for me customisation is one , more controls in the cameras and prefer the pics from it , battery life is fantastic and in general you can get from one place to another with less steps , apple is like you always have to go back alot before getting to where you want to go . The always on display is way better and identifying music around you ' love that feature and only discovered yesterday if you double tap that it opens to slow you to add that song to your playlists and shows you a list of other songs it's identified earlier. Screen brightness is wow 😲, Google voice typing being able to say delete and it actually deletes a word and not writes it , clipboard I love , clear all apps at once ' that's a crime that apple has never had this . Also in video being able to pause the video and carry on again and many times as you like so it ends us as one clip , is very useful . Also on that note when streaming music from your phone when you activate the video camera it continues to play so you can record exactly how it is without the music stopping. In all honesty I could list so many more things , I might make a video and cover some things that a lot of reviews have missed , it won't be professional as I'm not a youtuber but I think I will try so people can see what these phones are about and how slick they are .
Thanks for the confidence in this phone, I’m selling my 15 Pro Max and picking up my 8 Pro tomorrow! Thanks from Devon! ❤😊
Did the same 😁
Why? Was it that Bad?
@@Rehnstrandwhy😮
fake
Did the same too 2 months ago, no regrets
The pro mode for photos is what I've been wanting from pixels for so long. No over sharpeining but Google still does good processing while having a raw file whilst being able to control noise and shutter speed. Big W. Will be switching from my Pixel 6 pro to the 8 pro soon.
Really enjoyed your views on it. I went from my Note ultra to the 8 Pro. I've had it for one week now. Glad I made the change. Google phones have came so far in the last few years that they are serious contenders now.
They stack up so well, a few things to add for the price but I'm still using it over the iPhone
Just ordered one to swap from my old iPhone 11 Pro Max. Looking forward to exploring and experiencing it soon!
What colour did you do with
Searched so many videos about pixel 8 and I found this gem…
Keep growing 😊
Yes man! Appreciate the comment
Very well written video, cheers.
Thank you!
good and informative vid, stuck between getting the 8 pro and 15 pro max but this swung me more pixel because of that camera and display..also..Lyme Park and Spinningfields?😅
I’m switching between both & id find it difficult to pick one. Good spots 👀
It's a no doubter especially after the adaptation of video boost 💯!!! Night and day👇🏼 video is 🔥 and perhaps goated
I dunno, I waited 2 hours for a 5 second video boost clip & there wasn't much difference
@@1PaulJ it's your opinion, just like mine so as long as someone's happy
I bought a laser thermometer before to check the temperature of my cooking pan to make sure it was properly preheated. May also be used to identify hot spots. It can be useful but not sure I would want to put my phone so close to a heat source.
Top tip: keep all phones away from cooking pans
Getting the Pixel 8 Pro this Saturday!! 🎉🎉
What colour did you go for?
You're an excellent presenter, giving a top end review ☮️
Appreciate it!
Thank you for this. I’m looking to change from an iPhone 13.
And now it has iMessage though beeper mini 👀
Just got mine 2 days ago here in New Zealand and am loving it
What colour?
It does have a standby mode which has been around longer than the iPhone one. You just have to use the pixel stand charger.
How many people have that…essentially doesn’t exist
What do you think about the Mous case? Not many reviews of it yet and the few that exist, are not that favorable.
Like it’s thin but it makes the phone a bit too chunky for me
Great video, I want to upgrade from my S21U
You should!
Great video, can you compare its battery to the S23U?
Sadly don't have the s23
Great review 😅
Thanks 👌
How is the porcelain white holding up? Does it stain easily and can you clean it up?
I want to get the white color but I work around cars and I'm worried about getting the phone dirty.
It’s perfect so far for me and I only use a case to charge it so it’s holding up well as you’d expect
I dont know why everyone thinks camera bar looks not that nice...its one of the few designs which you don't the camera bump out of the case and you also got a nice place for your finger to rest. In my opinion it is one of a few smarthphone with a smart design all over 😊
Nice review mate!
Thanks!
You're the first reviewer who says the pixel 8 pro hasgood battery life and video quality.
As long as it's better than my current 3 year old S20, I'll be happy to upgrade :)
Thanks for that video.
The battery seems really good for me unless I’m missing something
@@1PaulJ Was the phone on wi-fi or cellular? I hear the Pixel 8/Pro has good battery on Wi-fi but horrible-mediocre battery when on cellular.
@@Redarkyzthis is the the fact most reviews leave out. I returned my p8p for that very reason.
@@davidrnf7466 Yeah that's the thing with some reviewers that I don't like. Also I really love the look and size of the gold Pixel 8 and really wanted to justify buying it. Unfortunately all I see is that the battery sucks on cellular and I use cellular almost the whole day. Guess I'll wait until the Pixel 9 and hopefully they fix the battery drain issue by then. That or at least they change the chip that runs the Pixel 9.
Great Content Man🙌🏻
👌
Stunped between the p8p, s23 plus, flip 5 or 14 pro max. I want to get the 14 pro max because i already have a few android phones and want to be able to try both ecosystems. Plus the androids will be free after trade in whereas the iphone is $20/month. Which is a good phone?
I would say between 8 Pro & iPhone. They basically do the same thing at this point so comes down to preference
I should add I’ve heard rumours the 8 Pro connectivity signal wise isn’t good, I hope that’s not the case as I only have a 2 bar 4G signal on my iPhone so anything less would mean a return, so I’m hanging on to my 15 Pro Max until I’ve tested the 8 Pro well at home for a few days, have you or anyone else had signal issues please? X
Signal out and about is 0 problems at all. Always an option to have Wi-Fi calling on as well when ever you're connected
I have the pixel 6a 7 and 7a and the signal is very good. I live in a valley where u can barely get service and once I got these phones it got better. I use hotspot on these phones. Samsung and Motorola was not as good as the pixel on signal and internet. There chip is based on the exynos chips but there completely different. I've heard people talk about the signal but I will tell you there actually pretty good. The phones are so much better on Android 14 as well.
I’m coming from a pixel 6 pro which always had connectivity issues and I would toggle airplane on then off. I haven’t had any problems with my pixel 8 pro. I also have an iPhone 14 from work and there have been times at the train station when the iPhone says sos and the pixel 8 pro is still connected with 1 bar. Both work and personal are on Verizon. I am happy so far.
the P8 Pro will only get better and better after future updates. i love that it´s light weight and feels great in the hand compare to my Iphone 13 Pro Max that weight like a tank and does not at all feel good in the hand. the P8 Pro weights at 213grams and the 13 PRO Max 240grams. P8 Pro felt absolutely wonderful in the hand precisely because of the low weight and the rounded edges. I also like that it offers both a fingerprint reader and facial recognition and 7 years of OS and security updates.
It's heavier than a 15 pro max though annoyingly & thicker. I wish it had the body of the iPhone
the P8P weights at 213grams and the Iphone 15 Pro Max 221grams @@1PaulJ
Okay, still feels heavier trust me
Thank you do you know when pixel 9 is coming out take care
October probably
Thank you have a good new have a good new year
My concern about picking up a google pixel is keeping their customer base loyal when it comes to upgrading, it seems like they're only after people to switch to pixel, their trade in offers on their website is atrocious for the pixel 7 pro when it came out last year, only offering $300, when I have a extra iphone 12 laying around to trade in and thats $375, google lowballing their own phones is a huge spit in the face for the current pixel owners. i'm on the fence to either get this because I love the software, or wait till what the S24 has to offer, at least samsung gives top dollar for their phones to encourage upgrading every year or two.
I don't have huge experience with Google trade in with Google phones but my 6a got around $250 this year
Typically black Friday you'll get really good trade in offers, especially through the carriers. We traded in 6 pro for $800 off. That's what the 6 pro cost two years ago brand new
There is nothing like the pixel. Love using it everyday. Bay blue pixel 8 pro.
I couldn't bring myself to go blue
What about us who don't want wireless charging but instead fast charging? The pixel cameras can sometimes take weirdly dark photos
I’ve not noticed the dark photos yet. I’d take wireless charging over fast charging personally
Love my pixel 8 pro. Simply awesome. 💪🔥
What colour do you have?
@1PaulJ bay blue. I'm in Australia 🇦🇺🌏🦘🪃🍻
hello @cozalenko Could you please tell me about the battery backup and overnight battery drain
@@samuel_suraj @samuel_suraj I haven't had sny worries with my battery. The adaptive battery has been great..i.havent had battery drain overnight either. You can adaptive charge overnight anyway. Or if you didn't it doesn't use much battery anyway as its scales down to 1hz .
I hope that helps.
It's an seriously awesome phone. I agree, it's just sooooooo much fun. 💪🔥
Today buying a phone is like getting married. Should I tie the knot? Will the phone be faithful? Will I stay in love with my new phone? So many questions and so many doubts.
I’m really confused on choosing between iPhone SE and google pixel 8 pro . Should I go for pixel?
100% go for pixel over SE
@@1PaulJ thanks so much . Imma do that ! No more doubt ! I’ll go for pixel without any second thought. God bless you 🤗
Please make a 50mpx raw photo, download it to your computer and check resolution. Everyone I asked ignored this, and I need to confirm that phone lies about it or am I going crazy
Just looked at one
5474x727(RAW)
8160x6144 (High-Res)
I was pleasantly surprised. I came from Samsung for 10 years. Yes... And I came into a deal switching carriers where I could get a Pixel free or pay for Samsung. Difficult decision but did it and reluctantly I quickly found everything you talked about on your video. I enjoyed your video and I plan on keeping my pixel hopefully for a long time.
I think pixel is the best android experience
My experience with the fingerprint scanner is not as positive as yours unfortunately. So many misreads…. Also very very few reviewers say something about the jittery camera when it switches from lens to lens. Am still enjoying the phone regardless
Fingerprint I can't complain about. Camera zoom isn't great between lenses but It doesn't bother me
Hey, what wallpaper is this at 00:58? Thx a lot!
Stock google pixel wallpaper. One of the live ones
Thinking about getting this when i upgrade. Has anyone here had any issues?
No issues here
I decided to go from samsung to google just because i hate the fact that my friends across the pond get snapgragon and i am stuck with exynos while with the pixel 8 pro the tensor G3 is everywhere so I am getting the same experience as people in the US. I just prefer pixel Ui compared to one ui, i prefer the camera in the pixel and honestly i love this phone. Honestly i hate samsung for ripping everyone off for putting exynos chips in its phones whilst the US gets Snapdragon.
One UI is a big reason I don’t like Samsung, stock android feels so much more refined and easier to use
@@1PaulJ yeah honestly one ui feels so janky and a bit laggy compared to stock android which feels more like iOS, the only reason why I hate iOS is because of the oversized icons which are Square and honestly I just hate the design it looks and feels outdated (well with it's non pro models it feels outdated) and that's probably due to the fact that it looks the same as iOS 7. Whilst with Stock Android it at least looks a bit unique with rounded icons that are smaller. With one ui they just try to copy apple and it doesn't work plus the little bit of lag that comes from time to time and the bloatware it just sucks. I do like Samsung but it's the things like their skin, the two different processors and the fact that their design looks the same year over year that made me switch to Google.
The face unlock is actually horrendous. Never works in low light. Rather have a working face ID unlock than a thermometer? Other than that it's a good phone, had mine 3 days now
I don't find it too bad in all honesty, the thermometer might be one of the weirdest choices in a phone ever
I like the phone, but I noticed I'm getting headaches often since I've had it.
I’m pretty certain that’s not the phones fault 😂
Apple ecosystem is very expensive for us in developing countries, from cost of device and supporting services. pixel replaced the iphone and gave me so much more value, customization and wider choice in third party options, ie music app, podcast app, watch, earphones, cloud service, photography etc. i don'r regret dropping iphone
Googles ecosystem is as expensive now
I love my 8 Pro ❤
In what colour 👀
@@1PaulJ Porcelain ♥️
It would be a great phone if google used snapdragon 8+gen2
I think it's better there stick to their own chipset.... Makes them more unique like Apple
If they did, the phone will most likely be best phone of the year and only losing out in camera zoom of S23 Ultra.
My biggest issue with it is the warm and battery really drain fast
Would you ever review a Samsung device?
Reviewed the ZFlip 5 & 4, Z fold 4 & the last few ultras 😂
I see you cannot differentiate Apple proprietary branding and industry standards. Please work on that.
I see you can’t even understand the idea of wanting something in a phone that doesn’t exist but can exist. Please work on that :)
@@1PaulJI get it, Apple really knows how to market features till even surprisingly TechTubers can't differentiate. Work on it.
Who knew a fish could be sexy? Is this a Mancunian thing? Good review tho 👍
Do we not all describe them as sexy? 😂
if it would cost 899€ max, i would consider it... but for 1199€ its just too much for it
I actually agree I think it's too expensive by about $100
This's an Apple iSheep user which you can spot from miles away.
I’ll put my pixel watch down, turn off my google tv 4K, shut down my nest hub max and show myself out
The camera visa looks better than the iPhones solution
I can't decide
Timestamps my friend !
THEY ARE NOW THERE
Samsung S23 ultra anyday
Oh no
Mag safe. 😂😂
What...
@1PaulJ
Android phone had wireless charging years ago and Chinese accessories were using magnetic charging donkeys years ago also.
Don't promote plagiarism, and imply Android phones need to have this gimmick
Waking the screen to opening with the fingerprint reader is pre-historic, it should be always ready like Samsungs.
It is ready I just do it as habit
@@1PaulJ nop
Please don't do a comparison to an iPhone and call it a review . I wouldn't have watched this if I had to hear about the most boring phone in the world . Leave the Crapple stuff out or at least warm us beforehand. 👇👇👇 /Dislike
Sorry you can't live in a world where more than one phone company exists, don't like it don't watch
Worst Pixel so far. My 5 and 6 are much much better. The tensor chip lags like a 3 year old child out for a walk. I am just hoping that the next software drop fixes all that is wrong.
Are you using a pixel 8 pro or nexus? Tensor chip is fantastic
@@1PaulJ pixel 8 pro.
