Ice Cube is obviously the most powerful superhero out of N.W.A superheroes. He once went rogue and took the entire N.W.A out with one lyrical blast that he called "No Vaseline".
Favorite part in the movie: "Bye Felicia." Everyone in the theater was roaring with laughter! I would absolutely love a movie based off of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There's a big story to tell there.
mrm64 I agree. John Singleton was suppose to be the director, and he casted Marcc Rose to play 'Pac. But he left the project and Rose jumped to play 'Pac on Straight Outta Compton. If I was Universal, I'd pick up Singleton and the script and get this movie made.
I just came back from seeing this movie, great movie. It wasn't all about the rise, not all about the fall, but it was all about the friendships between these characters. If you dismiss this movie off hand by just saying "i'ts trash promoting drugs and sex" blah blah, chances are high you are either a middle-aged or older prude or a racist. If you actually watched this movie with an open mind, you saw characters with humanity.
Andre! I am so glad you reviewed this movie!! I love all of your reviews and I have been anticipating this movie for so long. It's so cool you liked it too!
+Silent Insanity those are documentaries. He means an actual movie with how music was during his time and how he grown up like how Straight Outta Compton is with Ice Cube , Dr. Dre
I've always been a big Eazy-E fan so I was definitely gonna see this movie. Saw it opening weekend and it was GREAT! Damn near flawless. Highly recommend it.
Andre has the best review of this movie he gets every point the various angles, not being good or bad but making positive and negative decisions. Grey area everywhere.
I agree, I was thinking they should use some of the actors that was in the death row portion of the film like ( Corey Hawkins for dre , the guy who plays Suge Knight The guy who plays tupac and the guy who played snoop as well )
Let me correct you straight outta compton is not like a superhero movie, superhero movies are like straight outta compton, that is what is so brilliant about marvel, take the x men for example Stan lee based them on the civil rights movement basing professor xavier off of martin luther king and magneto off of malcolm x, thats why they have the whole mutant discrimination thing, come on you're a "nerd" you should know this.
+dranek72 No that is wrong stan lee did a method of story telling that has been around since literature first started, taking real life events and associating through allusions and likeness.
The music group I want to have a movie is *소녀시대* (*少女時代* (*Girls' Generation*))! -And make Jessica the main character!- They should give everyone equal screen time/character exploration and depict each of the nine as individuals with their own charms. -Although mah gurl, Jessica, was the -_-first-_- trainee and stepped up to request that first stage, so…- I know this will never happen, especially with the recent complications. I was waiting for your review of Straight Outta Compton, since you've told us you're really into rap. I might watch this movie. The character dynamics, character evolution, attention to social issues and grey morality all appeal to me, even though I'm generally disinterested in movies about musical acts and I have at most intermediate interest in rap. My first guess for the guy you alluded to making us swear he was revived, or something, is Tupac. Your comparison to Marvel movies at first felt like too much of a stretch, so I felt like you were just trying to sell this film to your general audience and was put off, but I got back on board with your comment about Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.. I've been waiting for a movie to do S.H.I.E.L.D. right and the closest we got is an infiltration, instead of the real Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. being dubious.
First thing: BARS!!!! Secondly, I saw it yesterday and it was amazing!! Loved the music and the flow, the acting was on point, and the emotions were tugged. O'Shea Jr was amazing and I loved that Cube made him work for the role (i.e. auditioning for the part and acting classes)
This review actually made my eyes big. In the sense that it wasn't at all what I thought it would be. I think I'm going to check this out now. Thanks Andre!
As a fan of N.W.A., I can't wait to see this. Rap needs people like this: talk about what's going on the world and what needs to be done. Nobody cares if you rich, got fancy cars or babes, etc. after hearing it the millionth time. You're not a musician, you're just a thing that will be forgotten after a year or so.
A) Regardless of what happens, please don't quit the world; B) I would be interested in seeing the Bone Thugs -n- Harmony story; and C ) I was really looking forward to seeing your review. Thank you.....
That was actually......a pretty damn dope analogy with superhero movies. As a fan of Hip-Hop and Comic Books, I never thought I would say that lol. Great review!
The comparison of Hip-Hoop super group NWA to The Avengers plus the freestyle at the end brought a tear to my eye. That might've been the greatest thing I've heard all day.
I completely understand what you meant by "Black Movie," and I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices those. Also, Black to the Future... MAKE THAT HAPPEN!
Great review!! Hubby and I are going to see it Sunday afternoon. I personally think Public Enemy would be an amazing group to have a biopic made BUT that may never happen.
Andre, Im just gonna say, after years of watching you, I have dubbed you my favorite youtuber, You have reviews on what i like, You help close the gap on not EVERYONE who has different colored skin is bad (Like how some WHITE cops attack a BLACK man walking down the street...), So thank you andre, thank you.
Ok, I lost my shit at "Stan Lee cameo". Glad you liked the movie dude!
Jeremyjahns you legend
***** Lost it at "Black to the future"
***** You're commenting this!!! I feel like if we were best friends, man!!!
***** can you review rocky horror ? please ?
***** can you review rocky horror ? please ?

Straight Outta Toontown!
+Black Nerd Comedy straight outta my mother
+Black Nerd Comedy Only you, Andre...
Black Nerd Comedy That rap stomped on your street cred 'til it's brains shot out like the guts of a watermelon. Raised your nerd cred though. :D
Black Nerd Comedy Seriously it was dope!
Ice Cube is my favorite Marvel superhero. I can't wait for him to join the Avengers and fight his evil future self: Family Movie Ice Cube.
Funky Student I always thought they were the same person. I fail
Funky Student Mr. T is a superhero, but we all knew that already.
will he team up with jump street ice cube?
Mr.Man I mean, it goes without saying that will occur
Dude that made my night!!!! Rofl
I hear this movie ends with Nick Fury recruiting Ice Cube into the Avengers.
Plot twist nick fury is ice cube
Janootz I heard it ended with Nick Fury recruiting Ice Cube in XXX
Eduardo Urbina I hear Space Jam 2 ends with Nick Fury recruiting Bugs Bunny into the Avengers.
Ice Cube is obviously the most powerful superhero out of N.W.A superheroes. He once went rogue and took the entire N.W.A out with one lyrical blast that he called "No Vaseline".
this is just like r/circlejerk all over again
An Outkast biopic would be dope!
Josh Jelks What'd it be called though, Players Ball, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik? They better have a 95 Source Awards scene
+Kid Sparticus Prolly ATLiens or just simply OUTKAST. I'd personally like "The Stankonia Express". But that might be a lil too weird lol.
Kid Sparticus I'd probably be called 'Players Ball' or 'Aquemini.'
THIS
"Outkasted"
"Straight Outta Compton it's like *Black to the Future"* - Black Nerd Best Review 2015
sounds like I should see this instead of Jem and the Holgrams movie
CoinOpTV lol you're funny
Black to the Future? Crowdfund that stuff!
Black to the Future!! LOL!!! I love you Andre.
Straight out of Marvel, was a proper rap mate.
I think the rapper you were talking about was Tupac.
It's either tupac kr Warren g
astroboi 36 Or Snoop Dogg? I havent seen the movie yet.
It is. What gave it away was how he mentioned conspiracies.
I think so too.
+Kgnightcry I had that suspicion too
0:09 censor fail
he does that purposely
LegitAmir It still won't change the fact that's it still stupid. Just Saying.
+coffeelover239 That's the point. its supposed to be stupid
Proasheck pikachu How? How is it supposed to be stupid? It comes off as more annoying.
Who the fuck cares.
NWA for Kingdom Hearts 3 LETS GO
No, just no.
Thomas Tiger LOL
Thomas Tiger Oh YES, and another YES, M.Bison style.
Favorite part in the movie: "Bye Felicia." Everyone in the theater was roaring with laughter!
I would absolutely love a movie based off of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There's a big story to tell there.
The superhero analogy worked perfectly for me. I can see it.
I wanna see a Tupac biopic.
Rumor is its coming, and the guy from this movie is suppose to be playing 2Pac. But it was put on hold.
martyc909 That' be awesome! That film's long over do!! lol
mrm64 I agree. John Singleton was suppose to be the director, and he casted Marcc Rose to play 'Pac. But he left the project and Rose jumped to play 'Pac on Straight Outta Compton. If I was Universal, I'd pick up Singleton and the script and get this movie made.
There are three in the works
***** I posted this comment before watching the movie. I recently saw this movie a few days ago and the actor for Tupac is so accurate! :O
Andre please PLEASE scream Blacknerd in the beginning like you used to !!
I doubt it was good or accurate
I miss Eazy E.
RIP
3:41 THE SARCASM. THE SHADE. I CAN'T 😂
Ikr he's right tho
Gotta check it out. Must see!!!
If only they can make Fantastic 4 this accurate... Lol
And by they I mean FOX.
The Dr. De Album, Compton, will actually have all of the royalties to start a musical arts school in Compton.
Please don't quit Andre, you're too awesome to quit.
Also spot on review, just saw it today and it was freaking great.
Andre going hard on that flow
That Straight Outta Marvel rap was legit the coolest thing I've ever seen you do
F. Gary Gray for Black Panther
Dallas Cowboys For Life
I know right
TUPAC LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So is that rapper Andre's talking about Biggie or Tupac?
Elijah King ...Except not.
The Clumsy Toaster I would guess its Snoop Dogg
+dementedavenger2784 It was Tupac's character.
It's Tupac. He's in the movie
Captain Awesome Tupac and Snoop were in the movie though, and he was talking about Tupac
Andre! I am so glad you reviewed this movie!! I love all of your reviews and I have been anticipating this movie for so long. It's so cool you liked it too!
I think it's about time we have a Michael Jackson movie. Problem is... Who can play him?
Moonwalker and This is it. Look them up.
+Silent Insanity those are documentaries. He means an actual movie with how music was during his time and how he grown up like how Straight Outta Compton is with Ice Cube , Dr. Dre
+Jayden Jones Moonwalker isn't a documentary. It's a movie starring Michael Jackson.
***** He can sing and dance?
True. He's a good actor too.
So is someone going to Kickstart a "Straight Outta Marvel" parody film?
The potential is just sitting there, guys.
Congrats on 400k subscribers! I've been a subscriber since 160k, keep up the great work man!
as much as I enjoy Jeremy Jahns/Chris Stuckmann reviews, I'd say you're my favorite one. Also I'd say release a mixtape.
Did see that after credits scene where Ice Cube found the reality gem it was so awesome
(No Sleep Till Brooklyn!!) Beastie Boys movie... would you see that??
Andy Samberg would have to be in that. Even though he's probably too old.
Screw beastie boys movie, where the hell is my beastboy movie?
Heck yeah I'll pay to see that beastie boys will always be the greatest rap group of all time imo.
I've always been a big Eazy-E fan so I was definitely gonna see this movie. Saw it opening weekend and it was GREAT! Damn near flawless. Highly recommend it.
1:58 - Are you talking about 2Pac, right?
Must be. Just saw the movie today and when he came up on the screen i was like Whoa!
Yeah, I looked up these actors on IMDB and that guy is a mirror image of Pac.
This is my favorite video Andre has ever done. Just for that freestyle.
well done! I am hoping to see it this weekend. LOVE the comic book hero comparison! that was excellent!
I absolutely loved that superhero analogy at the end.
I'm seeing it on Sunday ☺️
I lost it at "We're the Dawn of Justice, F YOU BATMAN!" 😂😂
two words...... Bye Felicia
Andre has the best review of this movie he gets every point the various angles, not being good or bad but making positive and negative decisions. Grey area everywhere.
I loved the film, I'm definitely getting it when it goes to DVD. I wanna see a tupac biopic next
I agree, I was thinking they should use some of the actors that was in the death row portion of the film like ( Corey Hawkins for dre , the guy who plays Suge Knight The guy who plays tupac and the guy who played snoop as well )
I was also thinking of someone doing a death row biopic as well. I wanna see how that label actually came together and what was its down fall.
that would be interesting
Wu-Tang
The Marvel/STO Rap was everything 😭😍
I'm guessing the rapper he's talking about at 1:48 is 2PAC.
nooooooooo you figured it out noooooooooooooooooooo
Paul Giamatti: voice of Drek.
+Orlando Silva That is correct sir. Stan Lee made BILLIONS of dollars by watching black people, and telling their story through comic books.
+dranek72 No that is wrong stan lee did a method of story telling that has been around since literature first started, taking real life events and associating through allusions and likeness.
Same thing. he took real life events, and made comic book stories.
dranek72 You made it sound like he was committing some injustice, I guess I misunderstood.
It`s cool. We on the same page homie.
spice girls movie

+jnw85 uhhh,it happened already,dude.Look up Spice World

That little rap at the end wasn't that bad. Street Cred + 1! I want to see this movie so bad!!!
sug knight killed easy E
So NWA is basically the Avengers lol. Awesome review!
when snoop dogg came on i was just like "OH SHIT!" he looked exactly like him and had the same voice

+Sam Diaz .the world doesn't stop at America.

Love the sarcasm about how the police have learned their lesson from oh so long ago lol.
Was it Tupac? I bet it's Tupac
That rap Andre....That Rap dude sell that in Itunes because i laughed so HARD!😂
First thing: BARS!!!! Secondly, I saw it yesterday and it was amazing!! Loved the music and the flow, the acting was on point, and the emotions were tugged. O'Shea Jr was amazing and I loved that Cube made him work for the role (i.e. auditioning for the part and acting classes)

I'm really glad that this movie turned out well, because the idea of a biopic about the N.W.A. immediately had me hyped.
Love that you changed it up today!
Great review Andre. I'm really pumped to see this now. Don't worry about your cred, it just went up with me for that Marvel relationship.
That rap wasn't bad. Actually pretty good.
As a fan of N.W.A., I can't wait to see this. Rap needs people like this: talk about what's going on the world and what needs to be done. On second thought, Public Enemy.
That rap freestyle was lit André. Props homie.
So that rap happened. **instantly downloads mp3**
That was actually......a pretty damn dope analogy with superhero movies. As a fan of Hip-Hop and Comic Books, I never thought I would say that lol. Great review!
That was amazing! Love the comparison to a super hero movie and that rap!! Killed it! :D
Great review Andre! I have heard nothing but good things about, i will go and see it Tomorrow.
Andre, you're always the best.
The comparison of Hip-Hoop super group NWA to The Avengers plus the freestyle at the end brought a tear to my eye. That might've been the greatest thing I've heard all day.
Also when E first tried to rap that was such a great part
YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!! I knew it before but this just solidifies it!!!
I completely understand what you meant by "Black Movie," and I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices those.
Also, Black to the Future... MAKE THAT HAPPEN!
Great review man. Love your freestyle to lol. I would't mind seeing a Outkast or UGK biopic.
I LOVE your toy and action figure background! Lol
Dude that rap was actually fucking sick. It gave me chills.
"Stan lee cameo"😂😂 I just subscribed
The best scene for me was when the bloods and crips bandanas were tied together during the riot.
best review ever! you've just gained a new subscriber
I lost it at the Stan Lee cameo! xD
Andre, you finally got your black avengers movie!
that rap at the end had me in stitches
I'll wait for a rental I don't really care about this movie . congratulations on 400,000 subscribers my black nerd buddy you're the man.
Great review!! Hubby and I are going to see it Sunday afternoon. I personally think Public Enemy would be an amazing group to have a biopic made BUT that may never happen.
Black to the Future: It's not the series reboot we need, but it's the series reboot we deserve!
Andre please man, you GOTTA drop that mixtape dude!
Congrats on 400k! WoooOoOOoOoo!
Congrats for 400K!
Congrats on 400,000 subs Andre
that superhero movie comparison blew my mind lol
Hey Andre when are you going to post that rap you did at the end on itunes?
That Last Part Was Gold.
