Does this mean we'll be trading in our 2019 KIA Sorento SXL next year for a 2024 Santa Fe? The Sorento is the nicest, most reliable, just-right sized vehicle we've ever owned. I felt sure when we bought it that we'd be keeping it forever, but this preview of the new 2024 Santa Fe is giving me goosebumps. I guess, in the wake of COVID, Hyundai/KIA/Genesis new-car fever must be catching. The 2024 Santa Fe seems so much more luxurious: I hope that doesn't portend a huge price bump, too.
I haven't forgotten about Genesis, but I can only afford to dream about cars in that stable, not actually OWN one. My 2022 Hyundai Kona N, on the other hand, is an accessible, bench-mark, rally-ready canyon-carver that punches WAY above its weight class. I can manage to make the payments and still have money left over to pay extra for premium.

I love everything except those tail lights and the huge Santa Fe name at the back.. Why they had to do that ) Keep up the good work my friend! Hello from Cyprus )
I was initially feeling mixed with the new design. I currently own a 2017 Sante Fe Sport, so I kinda miss the sporty look. But half way through your video, once I started seeing the white and black colors, the more it's growing on me. I'm starting to like the luxurious look. BUT! I hate that the signal lights are on the bottom again.
This Santa Fe is "different," in many ways, yes. But it definitely grew on me meeting it for a few times now and that black on black, blacked out Black Ink edition is a bad a$$!
It is clear that the model that has inspired Hyundai has been the Cadillac Escalade. It is a good copy, in small size, of an excellent car, and I imagine it will be more affordable...
Thats a REALLY nice interior. I'm kinda undecided between last gen sorento, new palisade and this. I really don't like the split moonroof though. Wish they'd have gone panoramic.
Palisade still remains a flagship SUV and largest in the Hyundai family, but this Santa Fe surely is bringing a whole new game to the table! No problem with 3rd row for an adult to travel long distance in terms of the head room. The leg room is quite okay, too. The trunk is just another level given this is a box SUV.
Hi man, I was meaning to thank you in the comments of the video in which you met the white version of Santa Fe - thank you!!! I'm really excited about this one, it ticks all the boxes for me - boxy, modern, utilitarian and presumably well-positioned. In my country of Czechia Hyundai is supposed to sell both diesel and hybrid engines. I'm eager to hear any details on the latter; hoping they don't mess it up by offering just a few horses in the engine..
Can't wait and hopefully it will soon be produced at the Hyundai Motors Indonesia Factory like the Stargazer, Creta and Ioniq 5....If it enters Indonesia markets, then this car will be facing Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Fortuner, Nissan Terra and Ford Everest
@@CarSceneKorea ok. Some websites say plugin remains for Europe model. Bit less hopefull for major updates for that matter. Plugin makes sense for Europe because car tax drops massively due to low CO2 which made plugin cheaper that normal hybrid last time in many countries.

@@CarSceneKorea youtube comments seems to suggest people love the redesign. Some are not fond of the rear lights. I’m okay with the design. Even with the rear lights. Love the h everywhere. At this point it looks like hermes. Love the light bar. Dislike that it looks too much like a defender, like how ioniq 6 look too much like carrera rs ducktail. Down to the twin reflectors looking like the carrera twin bumpers.
Of all the new Hyundai reveal, my favorite is the new Sonata, that is really good looking, new Avante also amazing, then this new Santa fe, new Kona, new Grandeur and Ioniq 6, which look like a Hyundai Coupe mix with Carrera dna.
overall, I’m impressed with the redesign. This is a top contender for my next vehicle here in the U.S. I’m particular about car deign though and I have some minor issues. I still would have liked to see a spare on the rear end. is it under the car? I didn’t see any pictures of the suspension or underside nor any details on the suspension in the U.S. coverage. even though I’m warming up to the rear end with the low tail lights (because they are functional) I really dislike the front end design choice to have a tiny outline of body color around the air vents along the sides. they should have just cut off the body color at the interior corners of the vents making a strong “H” symbol in body color on the front bumper. Nothing a little black vinyl wrap can't fix though. U.S. models shown have a 200 Watt AC outlet in the rear which is weak for our market. Toyota Sienna has a 1500W inverter for the AC outlet I think. looks like it is also labeled 220v, the standard in Korea, so likely a change in the inverter for the US market. With the disinfecting drawer it would be nice if they had a HEPA cabin filter, but I doubt it. I would Love a serious cabin filter system with a washable pre-filter, pelletized carbon filter, and certified HEPA filter. not sure how practical a disinfecting drawer is but a sealed HEPA system would be very nice. Tesla and Mercedes have this in the U.S and I believe both Kia and Hyundai have sealed HEPA filters in other markets. I guess having a PHEV available in the states doesn’t make so much sense if it isn’t eligible for the tax credit. if they do end up coming to the states I would still like to see it with a heat pump and be able to precondition the cabin while plugged in. not having a heat pump is a big drawback of the PHEV along with slow recharging rates. from what I have seen of press images of the "pecan" interior it looks very light in color and maybe even a bit pink, but that could have just been the lighting. would have loved a slightly darker leather option (like mahogany or baseball glove color) or a darker chocolate brown. I like the blacked out exterior trim and blacked out aluminum trim on the black ink model, but I have a feeling that won’t be an option on the Hybrid in the U.S., and if it is, it will only be available in black exterior paint. I like black exterior trim, black wheels, and black interior trim (no chrome or aluminum) with other faux wood colors, leather colors, and exterior colors. I can’t wait to see all the variations on color and trim variations associated powertrains. I would love to know if they have LED Projector headlights in all models or not, and more specifically if this will get adaptive driving beams as they are now allowed in the US. I don’t like the use of touch screen for the HVAC controls. I much prefer physical buttons for those especially since they are out of view when driving. looks like the front seat legroom has been drastically reduced from 44.1 inches to 41.42 inches which is closer to the current gen kia Sorento at 41.4 inches. I would think for this model they would want to keep it in the high 42s to low 43s like the ford escape, ford explorer, ford bronco, ford bronco sport, ford maverick, toyota highlander, toyota Tacoma, etc... the cup holders in the doors look a bit small for the U.S. market. The ford maverick, while being a cheap car with cheap materials, did a great job of making the door very functional with lots of room for big water bottles. I’m drinking from a water bottle now that is roughly 13 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter (40oz thermoflask). I doubt that would fit upright in the front door. Door bottle holders should be designed to hold a 46 oz yeti rambler upright. Just a little thing for some, but since they are incorporating a digital rear view mirror it would be nice to see either an integrated dash cam or dedicated power ports for after market ones. Along with the self-dimming rear view mirror, I would love it if they had self-dimming side view mirrors. These are so nice to have in the states as so many people drive lifted pickup trucks that can be blinding at night. I would have loved Amber DRLs like in the Kia K5 and gen 1 telluride, but I'm sure I'm in the minority here.
dear world, please let me know when they finally put rear turn signals where they should be.... in the rear tail lights and not somewhere down in the bumper... then i would think about buying a kia/hyundai/genesis.... and im sad, because they are rolling.
Well, I dig the interior. Looks futuristic and practical at the same time. But I still don't like the outside. It's too boxy. And it looks like it came from a video game with pixels missing 😖 Thanks for the tour.
It does kind of look like the box it came in, I'll grant you that. But it won't seem so strange when we start seeing thousands of them on the road in the USA.
It is clear that the model that has inspired Hyundai has been the Cadillac Escalade. It is a good copy, in small size, of an excellent car, and I imagine that it will be more affordable... I am very happy and I congratulate Hyundai with this new line that is more livable and proportionate in its exterior shapes. If, finally, there are turbo diesel engines available, they would have been right. And, where is the spare tire? It is incredible that a car with an all-terrain feel does not have a spare wheel. It is a fashion, imposed by the manufacturers, that is a real fraud for the buyer.
I've heard names, but first with Escalade. Far smaller compared to the car, think it's bit closer to cars from Jeep, if you will :P There will be spare tires for certain markets. It's been some time now that HMG cars stopped getting spare tires in Korea.
When you puncture or break a wheel, the problem lasts a day, 2 or three... You must call a tow truck, it will take you to a workshop, and the workshop will have to order a new wheel... If you have a spare wheel, The problem is solved in 15 minutes. I don't know where the benefit is for the customer. Where it is clear that there is a benefit is for the manufacturer in large scale production. In short, this is a problem that customers will suffer the day that ruins them, a simple broken tire, a weekend. The manufacturer won't care at all.@@CarSceneKorea
I hear you. You have a strong point. The reason why it's not on domestic models is probably because almost no one uses them in Korea. We have unbelievably fast tow truck/emergency service in Korea, a simple puncture will be taken care of less than an hour unless you are in a deserted area which hardly is very difficult to find in Korea. Therefore, that's Korean market, the US and many other will get spare tires underneath. Also, it's just the spare tire that's missing, all domestic models do come with emergency puncture kit which directly injects silicon into the tire and fills up the hole.
I wish they added a high performance model then it can completely compete with rang rover , bmw ect … Twin turbo v6 or super-charged v6 model or just put a Damm v8 in it and make us all happy lol
Pretty sure it's the same thing KIA is doing. The Sorento is a 7 seater but the Telluride is the better 7 seater (?) if that makes sense. So in comparison it's the same for SanteFe and Palisade? just a guess though
@CarSceneKorea GV90 will be at least 200k if it comes to Australia. GV80 I'll be interested in. I have a 2022 GV80 3.5 six seater now. But it now feels old tec no wireless carplay. No digital mirrors. No zero gravity seats. No sanitising compartments.
These are certainly nice and fancy looking! Now…. Show me the “Polished Turd💩” trim…. That I will still only BARELY be able to afford after dealership markups.

U.S. models shown have a 200 Watt AC outlet in the rear which is weak for our market.
Appreciate your detailed feedback on the redesign! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, very concise and in-depth.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Americans don’t glamp like our friends in the East but this will look cool as a dad car baby hauler in Flat Black👍
Oh yeah, that blacked out Santa Fe is just 🔥
2024 Ford Flex
dear world, please let me know when they finally put rear turn signals where they should be.... in the rear tail lights and not somewhere down in the bumper... then i would think about buying a kia/hyundai/genesis.... and im sad, because they are rolling.
The North American market will have the entire rear H as a turn signal, hope that’s a better news.
@@CarSceneKorea not really... im in EU. but thats how i would expect it to be here as well, exactly like its on the front end.
The rear end is really disappointing.
Design is no longer harmonious. Too square but don't go well together
Needs dual exhaust, all wheel drive and twin turbo v6 before I buy one.
On rear doors no ambiance ???????????😡
There is one horizontal line running across in the second row doors.
@@CarSceneKoreathanks for so fast answer😊
@@vipergts777 My pleasure.
Looks like the new Canyonero
Well, I dig the interior. Looks futuristic and practical at the same time. But I still don't like the outside. It's too boxy. And it looks like it came from a video game with pixels missing 😖 Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for the comment!
Nah, it looks like minecraft or lego brick.😢 Even ford bronco looks more streamlined.😂
Btw thanks for the review!
@@RedAbsent yep, that's more accurate, thanks.
@@RedAbsent No doubt it's boxy, yet you can actually find lots of curvature on this Santa Fe on the exterior, believe it or not!
It does kind of look like the box it came in, I'll grant you that. But it won't seem so strange when we start seeing thousands of them on the road in the USA.
If a Volvo and Range Rover had a child.
It's like a Ford flex and range rover had a baby
That steering wheel is straight off a Range Rover
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wish they added a high performance model then it can completely compete with rang rover , bmw ect …
Twin turbo v6 or super-charged v6 model or just put a Damm v8 in it and make us all happy lol
Sounds great 👍
Looks like a Ford Flex
Inside copy of range rover, outside mix of defender and range rover, even the steering is exact same shape
The front and interior - Beautiful, the rear absolutely horrible!
Not "all new." This is mere face-lift. (Just like Korean President first lady😂😂😂)
3. sıa koltuklarda elektrikli olmalı
kesinlikle güzel olurdu
I don't think we will see the 3rd row in the North American market because of the Palisade.
Palisade still remains as the flag ship SUV of Hyundai, but this Santa Fe 💪
I stand corrected, the US market is getting the 3rd row.
5, 6, 7 seater configuration.
Pretty sure it's the same thing KIA is doing. The Sorento is a 7 seater but the Telluride is the better 7 seater (?) if that makes sense. So in comparison it's the same for SanteFe and Palisade? just a guess though
Except Santa Fe seems to be much better than Sorento this time 😎
So Hyundai produced this magnificent SUV but never installed two exhaust pipes, why?
Engine isn’t big enough, maybe dual exhausts for later.
Santa fe EV?
Reserved for IONIQ brand.
Got more features then a Genesis GV80. I think Genesis will loose sales unless they can come up with something special
GV90 is just around the corner including a facelift for GV80. Genesis will surely surpass techs shown here.
Land rover look
These are certainly nice and fancy looking! Now…. Show me the “Polished Turd💩” trim…. That I will still only BARELY be able to afford after dealership markups.
aka The Range Rover without the check engine light on
Haha without the CEL 🤣
Just don't know about the H themed headlights and tail lights, but it's a very, very nice looking suv
Seeing the car for months now, it def grew on me 🤣
I thought I was looking at a ... Land Rover
Landay Santa Rover
Range Rover killer lol 😂
But how much is gonna be this car?
Not released yet.
@CarSceneKorea okay, I'm big fan of Hyundai and Genesis.
I'm currently driving Elantra 2022 Ultimate(Canada version) love it. ❤️
CVT? Love those combination!
