@Jeury Rabassa I never finished the first game, but I did the 2nd and loved it! I liked how you could go back to your apartment, and the photography missions for the Daily Bugel and the Pizza Delivery missions were so fun!
Spider man 2. Still the best spider man game to date. I remember just grinding those green pop up missions and playing through the story mode countless time.
@@osmanemral6092 nope not even close. Spider man 2 was considered the best spider man game. You can tell that 2018 spider man was inspired so much by Spider-Man 2. And I don’t get how you can call it shit when it’s literally on a list for the best Ps2 games. Are u stupid😂
Transformers the game was elite when it came out. Playing as all of the different autobots and decepticons was brilliant and you could destroy everything in that game. Even the apartment buildings like the hulk.
"Open World" was different back then. I consider the "modern" Open World games to start around 2008/2009 (around the time of Grand Theft Auto IV and Assassin's Creed II). The PS3/Xbox 360 generation. "Open World" on the PS2 and original Xbox was different - not overly complex but still fun to just run around in.
Oldschool open world was much better on average imo , I appreciated the rawness of the landscape , things felt more organically atmospheric and mysterious , even Isolated nearly barren areas still somehow felt like they potentially held more meaning than they did , hardware limitations showing through unstable mapping and textures that would shimmer and move on PS1/PS2 gave those games life and made what was mostly filler feel like secrets were held everywhere and gave a greater sense of depth and character. 6th and 5th gen design just felt more unorthodox and organic Instead of streamlined and formulaic to me , the pacing and traversal generally felt slower and clunkier which made progress more satisfyingly earned and gave more of a sense of distance and adventure despite being smaller game worlds. It's the little subtleties that made oldschool open world special , and honestly I'd take that anyday over the perks and features provided by modern open worlds. 9th gen has made me feel burnt out on modern gaming more than ever (outside of rare greatness like Elden Ring) most games today are just too corporate , casualized , and samey for me , and real-life acting/sounding realism does not equal more Immersive , nor does ultra cheap throwback Indies redoing what's already been done better , or the overly cartoony casualized stuff devoid of challenge and depth. That's the beauty of the early 3D 6th and 5th gen era , It captured the perfect uncanny-valley of game design experimentalism and ambition.
@@fawkkyutuu8851 That describes perfectly how Shadow of the Colossus felt back then. The whole map felt mysterious (more than it ws intended to be). I remember people spent so much time looking for the 17th colossus and in the process a lot of secrets were found such as the unused colossi, its arenas that were hidden under the final map, the original location of the colossus and much more. Whenever I played SotC back then I felt that something was haunting me or I was about to discover something new even though it was already comfirmed that no 17th colossus existed and there was nothing else hidden in the game. The only game that has ever felt close to that experience was Bloodborne and it´s thanks to it´s darkness "ugly graphics" and overall clunky feeling.
