    Wonderful! As is everything you share Nick. So thankful to have landed here with you as my Qigong teacher after moving through others on my quest to unravel the intense grief I have been wearing for my life, especially since the heavy trauma I experienced 6 years ago. I spend every day with you and I finally feel lighter. I love the way you teach and how you help us to understand who we are in this life with a greater depth.

    Great article! As someone who came to the states from China for college, bedazzled by the western food science, disregarded my parents and oriental wisdom, tried many “science backed diets” and screwed up my metabolism, this article confirmed many of my own experiences and thoughts. It is a bit frustrating though to go back to what my parents and grandparents had taught me (which is heavily influenced by Daoism and longevity cultivation practices). It almost felt like my years of exploration and rebellion is for nothing. But I guess that is a huge part of growing up😅

      Totally agree. Food science is one of the most obscure fields of research. Probably better for most people to just eat whatever their grandparents ate 😂

    Coming here after Ray's passing. Feeling extremely sad but you've done a wonderful job of painting a picture of his work. Bridging the gap between him and TCM was also quite interesting.
    I can also tell that you are a genuine human being and I applaud your work.

I have been subscribed to your RUclips videos for several months now, and have enjoyed them all, and always look forward to them. I recently purchased your Bioenergy Training Program 2 DVD, and think it is excellent as well! Thank you!

    Thank you for this brilliant Video, Nick, like many here on your channel, this is just another part on my journey to a more holistic being.
    But one Question to regular Intermittent fasting, a point I did not quite get: is it not favorable from a bioenergetic/qi point of view? I've been doing it for 5 years now, feeling like my body adapted really quick. And since I am getting mor and more into healthy eating and fermentation (and qi gong etc.) I never really feel energetically deprived and increasingly well in general. Still, I've had Raynauds for many years now, and apparently a Lupus slowly creeping up on me, and in the same year I started the fasting, I also started to lose hair. A draining Jing in the background is probably not too helpful...

    • @TheNickLoffree
      @TheNickLoffree  Год назад +2

      It is a tradeoff for sure. The benefit of giving your gut a break from food and bacterial feeding, and the cleanup of autophagy, can improve many symptoms. I also found I starting balding/greying when i was doing IF. It can cause an increase in cortisol, and increase fats in the blood. A helpful solution is to get some of the benefits of fasting, without actually fasting, by taking activated charcoal and eating a raw carrot daily to clean up gut toxins. Also increasing gelatin intake to seal up the gut lining, and eating easily digested foods to avoid bacterial overgrowth. Never simple, this stuff!

    • @freeingmovement7679
      @freeingmovement7679 2 года назад

      Hey there, I cured my awfall eczema after dealing with it for years (also mainly on fingers, but also on arms and swollen eyes and lips sometimes) with the GAPS diet, check it out. Before that I tried many many things like cleanses, supplements and leaving out foods but eventually my body was reacting to everything, I couldn't make sense of it except from that it must be leaky gut. I stayed on that diet for quite a time and slowly worked to adding things. Now a days I can eat almost anything (but I dont and mostly always stick to a clean paleo kind of diet) and it has been 2 years since I got any eczema!
      Good luck to you and hope you can solve it!

    They're similar because the pro metabolic theory of energy dynamics is borrowed directly from Chinese food medicine, right?
