I love how they made the music intentionally time-neutral. Whether it's a Cro-Magnon scout rallying his tribe for an attack after finding the enemy, a Legate leading the charge, or a squadron of pilots getting into their aircrafts. It just fits.
I'm sad about the fact that the majority (im sure it's 99%) of teenagers in my country don't even know about this amazing game, they're all just aoe stans
@@hieudang3104 I'm pretty sure nobody in my town or country play this god tier game... I thanked my father for discovering this gems after Rise of Nations, definitely one of my fav RTS of all time.
it's REALLY well made, it perfectly encapsulates human nature and conflict. You can imagine warriors with a battering ram approaching or a nuclear bomber flying to its destination
This is my favourite soundtrack of all time- so dramatic and I’m always thinking of medics rushing in and helping in WWII age. I played this when I was a child and now I am a nurse, wanting to train in the army to be a medic- I think of this song often when I am at work. Deus Vult
For me this song always fitted both prehistoric epochs and modern / future epochs the best. It got this gritty feeling that matches both types of Warfare so great, one being with blunt weapons and stones thrown at each other while the other being fought with giant robots, lasers and guided rockets.
@@AnnNightNoxana I think so. I oftenly heard it in the future time, and it suited well, too. XD I think the melodic sounds are more future like and the drum stuff sounds more prehistoric
This is my favorite Empire Earth song, what I always do when I hear this song is select my scout dog, walk him and zoom in to see how he runs with this song in the background, I know it sounds stupid but that's the reason I like this song alot ❤
This gives me such a specific memory. The memory is of those rectangular shields of those spearmen from the middle ages missions, and then the memory turns to those M1 Abrams tanks and B52 bombers from the first Russian Mission
This sound track, always given off a vive of absolute power and strength and majesty which gained through tremendous struggle and hardship, those who agree with me, hit like.
The song "Shadows" haunted me for years in a good way. I have a version from another RUclipsr which has way higher quality than this, but it clips hard and overdrives at the "climax" of the song... This version lacks high frequencies and sounds like it has been butcherd by bad encoding (despite 720p, maybe post-upload). Why can't be there a high quality version without any flaws.... :( Whatever, great soundtrack. Back in the Age Of Empires hype, my brother played it on our AMD K6-2 350 MHz with 64 MByte of RAM. Good times.
The early morning haste towards school on those rainy days, counting down the days when I could finally get a 256mb gpu for running this game smooth, the burden of the world an alien concept.....
Throughout thousands of years in human history, survival and development are the sole purposes of all civilizations, no matter what it may mean, like political conflicts, military actions, economy, trading or other issues.
It takes me back to the battlefields of English Campaign. Specially the second mission. You are about to embark on a fierce charge and the clock is ticking underneath your breath.
Man this game was so awesome. Unfortunately the 3D graphics didn't age very well, unlike even older 2D RTS games. But the soundtrack is still as great as it was back then.
We are now in the Digital Age. But still slow in progress. The reason is there are technologies deemed classified by the government because they are too afraid to share the technology they had created. Reasons - robbed, betrayed, war, chaos, misused. The world is still unprepared for the fast advancement of humanity. 50 Years from now we had entered the Digital Age. 100-200 Years prior of end of the digital age came the Nano Age. War is still present. More bloodshed is spilled more deaths is in thr battlefield.
