I dig Connie's phrasing and her pitch. Her band and arrangements are smooth and graceful, just like her own style. Amazing how you can listen to massive quantities of jazz, and you feel so weird when something like this slips past you. Just glad when you find something pleasing, better late than never. Been listening to her only a couple years now, but a fan fan for life!

Check the Joan Chammoro channel or Sant Andreu Jazz Band and watch these young people perform some great old songs impeccably arranged and directed by Joan. You won't be disappointed.
This woman has been listening to ETTA JONES and that's admirable. My favorite versions of this song are by GENE AMMONS, iconic tenor saxophonist, and ETTA JONES. Oh wow, the saxophonist has been listening to Gene Ammons. WOW.
