    I do this, but I put raw bacon on cookie rack, which sits on lined cookie sheet. Bake it.. Then I strain the oil and fill up strained oil into mini cube tray, freeze the cubes, release the cubes and put frozen cubes into zip lock bag and freeze. Then I have little individual cubes of delicious bacon grease to use whenever I want.

    I do it a little differently. I place foil on my baking sheet, lightly spray with Pam cooking spray, place bacon on sheet and place a piece of parchment paper down over the bacon. Cook at 400 degrees for 18-20. Then flip bacon over and cook another 3-5 minutes. I do it this way so bacon grease doesn’t splatter all over my oven.

    • @nosamb
      @nosamb 2 года назад +3

      I agree with adding a sheet to cover the bacon. That keeps your oven clean. I’d think twice about the foil on aluminum, unwanted chemical reaction possible.

    I cook mine in the oven too. Instead of parchment paper, I use my broiler pan. I put the bacon on the top part of the pan, and the grease drips through the holes to the bottom part. Make sure to use the bake setting on your oven, not the broil setting.

Now, take 2 sections of a paper towel one on top of the other and put that on top of the bacon. Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Just a little crispy but cooked good. Enjoy. Absolutely best way to cook bacon 🥓. Used to own a diner and we would cook off 30-40 lbs of bacon a day this way. Keep it limp and finish on the flat-top.

    My mother taught me to cook bacon exactly like this over 55 years ago.
