How do you get round the fact if you use mobile suitable images they crop terribly when viewed in search. The search view surely is the most important image to get right.

Okay, so I have tested this out over the past few days. What I can recommend is that you create a graphic with the focused image within the landscape constraints and then apply a banner on the top and bottom, with text to highlight features and benefits of the product. This information will only be seen once the shopper clicks on the listing. Hope that makes sense!

@@AliciaRafiei thanks i will try that. Been playing about with a new template for days but its a comprise. Think etsy should add a place to add an image that will be used for search and image that will be used for the shop. Would solve all these problems.

​@@AliciaRafieimy images look the same on both mobile & desktop view no extra space for the landscape views (I use different landscape dimensions than you use)
Are you viewing the listings via the etsy app on mobile? I don't use the app on mobile just the website.

If you change the listing photo to to suit mobile, will it still look ok on computer?

This is something you'll have to test and try out to see what looks best. Unfortunately, Etsy hasn't changed both thumbnail and listing images to be the same size, so you'll have to play around with the graphics and layout to get it right.

I've just published my very first ebook on Etsy. For the listings, I uploaded the cover and the other 3 photos are number of pages from my ebook that I have blurred a little bit with a ribbon and short texts in the center that tells the customers what they will get once they bought.
Do you think it is okay to blurred the pages? It's pretty blurred, and you can barely see the images and texts.

Congratulations on publishing your ebook. For ebooks, I would do the same, but perhaps don’t blur all of it. Try to show some of the contents, that way customers can get an idea of what they are purchasing. For all other products, I wouldn’t add any blurring. Hope that helps 😊
