But in saying that I jumped straight into the deep end. 24hr markets. I do not recommend this 😂 sleeping next to your computer because you don’t want get out of a losing position is not an ideal lifestyle lol. So 3rd attempt years later more wiser I turned $300 so far into $15k trading CFD with big margins. But you know it’s not your $$$ till you withdraw. 😂

I actually had it up to £1400 at one stage. In one day I got £480. Pure luck though. One huge slump in crude oil last week wiped me back to the start. I actually forgot to put on my stop loss. I’m using AvaTrade just to learn the ropes, I’m ok with my money going up and down I’m learning. That app lets me use equity so £500 is like £5000 of shares so your profits can go up a lot quicker, down a lot quicker too. It’s not ideal though, watching all these videos and learned so much, but really need to get a proper trading platform but at the moment I’m just picking up the mentality of this all.

I started with $5k over 6 years ago. I was down under $2k at one point. I learned a lot. You've said it many times, but I was lazy and not putting the work in like you have to. Day trading isn't easy, it's a LOT OF WORK. I'm making a living doing it now, but I thought for sure I was going to lose it all at one point. Fortunately, when I started trading I was also working a regular job.
Just remember, trading is work... a lot of work. If you aren't ready to put in the work, do the research, and be focused on what's going on in the market... don't waste your time and money.

If you really want to get into trading to milk lots of profit. You have to do it right. Waiting for stock or trades long term to go up is actually good idea but doing it the better vitonic way is better where secure your money and profit and still avoid loss. Could refer you to a mentor but you honestly have to be serious and determined

I started “trading” (read “gambling”) in 2020. I made a ton of money and then gave most of it back. Since having a taste of that money in my account, I’ve known that this is where I’m meant to be. I don’t wanna answer to anyone for the rest of my life. Well, after watching, paper trading and learning stock behavior for most of 2022, I’m hitting the ground running this year. Being able to hit the mega cap bull runs has been a dream come true. Up 68% this year.

You're the most honest day trader i found after a year learning and practicing demo, and 45 days as trader.
My feeling is we need to focus on learning, the money is just the consequence of good learning and later on mastering the subject. Never the opposite.
After first 100 of losses, we start focus on the Money Management for serious, and only then, we became profitable.
Long live to your Toyota Corolla btw.
    Love from Belgium

I started with $10k then lost it all as I misunderstood margin, I then saved up again managing to lose only $5k then next time although I lasted a few more days. I blew up again with a £3k account. Finally, I managed to become a breakeven trader with a $2k account which I built up to $3.5k using good risk management, I then added $2k to my account and started using more margin and blew it again - back in McDonalds' full time but won't give up. Moral of story doesn't matter how much you start with if you lose it all.

I open a small account with 5k just to test day trade with options on only the SPY and I turned it into 15k in about two months. I try to buy options on the day of expiry (because it's super cheap 1000-2000 dollars for a 10 lot =1000 shares) at the money and then wait for the 3 bar setups to go in. It's much harder to keep a stop and you have to get in and out faster since the option decays if it goes sideways or against you, but it's a very effective way to trade with small accounts. The idea is to risk 200 with a stop to make at least 400. Note* don't try to do this unless you know how options work, I trade options for years and this is just an account I use to test the strategy.

Different watching a video to doing it as it's real time. So stressful. I did learn something from your other video about trading gap ups. Twice in three days the stock I'm looking at has gapped up and risen higher during the first few minutes of trading then fallen and filled the gap again upwards though-out the day. I have unfortunately jumped out of the trades in panics before this.
