A recommendation: Superhero AP Shen mid!
You can use normal Shen runes and can still build sunfire first, but flexing into AP with demonic embrace, nashors tooth, lich bane, cosmic drive (and of course mejais or rabadons if you can get them) makes for big damage and even bigger ult shields.
A bit matchup dependant (don't play into poke mages), but a recommendation nonetheless!
