Why use grossbeat to sidechain? Just use the peak controller instead. Takes around the same amount of time to set it up but gives you more control imo but you do what you're more comfortable with. Not hating I just prefer the peak controller method more :)

Watch a pro player play any sport with him commenting what he's doing "here I'm running towards the goal, I dodge this player and pass to my mate here." is not a tutorial on how to do what he did. A proper way to explain would be for example "here I ran towards the goal cause I had more speed than the guy next to me and I see my mate that is gonna be free if the defender comes to me so I run further until my mate becomes free and then I pass him with the ball in front of him so he doesn't have to slow down his running" You see my point?
