I love this. This is one of the major reasons I bought this machine. Can't wait to use it. You did a great job of explaining this. I couldn't imagine how this was going to work.
WOW you made this so easy_so perfect. Best video I have seen on this topic. Couldn't see the match up point on the snowmen before. Now I can use this. Thanks
Hello I just got my Luminaire and watching your videos I am learning so much, I don't know if you will get this but I would like to know if and how you could use the borders on a wall hanging quilt? Thank You for all your help, like you I am retired and love this hobby of quilting and embroidery. You are the best teacher on youtube of teaching the hows and whys of the machine
Love your videos on both the Luminaire and PE11. Can you use this same method on other quilting designs not built in the machine. If so please do a video on that. Or is there a way to make other quilting designs split and match up using PE11? Thanks
Paulette Niemann - you can use the border function to connect designs that are digitized to be connected and use alignment stitches (if needed) to connect. You can split designs in PE Design 11 and align those designs. I do have it on my list of to be filmed videos.
I have been trying to do a border this way and my 3 attempts don't end up connecting at the end point. The top connection or first connection is perfect but when it stitches around the right of my border and on to the end, there's almost 1/4" gap. I can't imagine what I could be doing wrong or why this is happening. My border looks perfectly placed so I wouldn't want to try and rotate it, assuming that was even a possibility.
I thought I replied to your comment, but realize I must have gotten distracted. If you are part of my Facebook group, I had a live video where I recorded a session showing how to adjust at the corners. I started reducing my overall measurements for a couple of reasons: 1) on the last border near binding, I wanted to reduce the overall width by at least the binding width to prevent the stitches from falling under the binding and 2) I reduced the length and width by 1/4 inch for the same reasons you described. Measure both sides of your quilt Sashing add together and divide by 2 to get the average length. Then reduce this amount by 1/4”.
@@terrymaffitt4012 Thanks for getting back to me and explaining what you do. I did join your Facebook but I can't remember what it was called and now I can't find it.
Your screen tells you to select the connector for something that has to have 2 hooping. I get the screen with the line between the 2 hooping but don’t get the “selector” button
As always, your instructions are very helpful.
Thank you Terry.
And, another GREAT video. I'm even more excited about my Luminaire. Thank you Terry.

You make everything look so easy Terry. Thank you ...thank you!
Thanks for this video!

where do you get the connector tape? is it a product or you draw on tape yourself?
The snowmen are stickers that come with your machine..
Excellent, thank you
Terry by chance do you have a video that shows how to take a design from the computer to a USB stick? 😊 😊 😊
No I don’t. I will add it to my list.
Thank you thank you
