Rising, Stomp, 2 Rings, Break the wall, Scream, Propose, The curse of the Spider (rock version)... There is way more. Vision is not THAT heavy. But as a metalhead myself... For sure you'll not find growls or stuffs like that (Im one of those guy, ye). But with time, i fall in love with this group. They are my top 1 kpop group. Billlie at second on the list :D
Since you want some heavier songs from Dreamcatcher, I could recommend these: NIGHTMARE ERA: • GOOD NIGHT • Mayday (one of their special clips for this song featured a live band, and it's a B-track to boot) • What (I felt gothic Evanescence vibes here) • PIRI DYSTOPIA ERA: • BOCA (this song is what practically drew the attention of almost half, if not most, of the casual pop listeners turned InSomnias - owing to the rock twist added to the usual moombahton sound heard in some pop songs) • Break the Wall (most InSomnias find early grunge '90s Evanescence vibes here in this song) • New Days (sound is pretty much reminiscent of an anime OST) APOCALYPSE ERA (VISION is actually part of this album series): • Maison (not quite as heavy as VISION - but I did feel the ending part sounds quite Within Temptation-esque, albeit in a Kpop code) • BONVOYAGE (their Farewell version, which is pretty much their English rendition, sounds a little much heavier than their original Korean release) VERSUS ERA: • JUSTICE (I felt the pop metal Within Temptation vibes in this song) STANDALONE SINGLES: • Full Moon • Déja Vu (not quite heavy music-wise, but the vibes are pretty much Kpop ballad meets Evanescence and Nightwish) • Reason JAPANESE SINGLES: • Endless Night (some, if not most, non-casual listeners turned into diehard InSomnias after hearing this song) • No More (this is Dreamcatcher's heaviest song to date) • Eclipse (this is an actual anime OST) • Don't Light My Fire (Dreamcatcher sounded like they were any European symphonic metal band you would think of with this song 😅) ❤❤❤ Welcome to the Dreamworld ❤❤❤
Welcome to the Dreamworld! Dreamcatcher are very unique. They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 "Vision" is part 2 of the Apocalypse trilogy. I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or this is me seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
Songs you might be interested in from Dreamcatcher 1 No More and Endless Night ( Japanese releases ) 2 The Curse of the Spider (rock version 2024) 3 Break the Wall 4 Propose ( more of a dark lyric song ) 5 Piri And one final song that is more on the epic side and shows all there unique power - Deja Vu Great reaction - thank you !!
There are 7 members in Dreamcatcher. The rapper's name is Dami. One symphonic rock song (in Japanese) you should check out is Don't Light My Fire (no mv).
My second favorite group is Lorna Shore, and my first one is Dreamcatcher. Also a metalhead, however heaviness is not everything - quality is. Dreamcatcher are ridiculously consistent, their songs are diverse and intricate. There are plenty of recommendations in other comments, and I must add that Hammerfell guitarist worked with them for No More, one of their heaviest tracks yet. "It's a fucking insane how good they are" - yes. The iceberg is deep. Or, should I say, the black hole.
Would also recommend Dreamcatcher's "Endless Night" but is a Japanese track. We appreciate your time into taking a watch into their music. Welcome to the Kpop industry, especially the Dream World of Dreamcatcher 🤭
Dreamcatcher combine mainly Pop vocals with a Rock, EDM and NuMetal sound, and they've created their own distinctive hybrid genre. They're heavily influenced by J-Rock and J-Metal, and their K-Pop designation only refers to the industry they're in. They also experiment a lot, and they can go from Jazz, to EDM-Rock, to Punk and Metal. Vision is actually a unique Dark Techno - NuMetal song arranged by June One from the Korean Indie band Glen Check, Maddox, and their usual producers Leez and Ollounder. It really sounds like a 2000's Aussie Goth Metal song to me and I love the sound.
Heaviest: Dreamcatcher - No more ruclips.net/video/HanFwe41w9s/видео.html (J-Metal) Notable Mentions: Dreamcatcher - Endless night ruclips.net/video/wCALuFy2YVI/видео.html Dreamcatcer - Don't light my fire ruclips.net/video/HVg7ELM1iZ4/видео.html Dreamcatcher - Curse of the Spider - Live - 2024 version: ruclips.net/video/JUcuTIMTZq4/видео.html
Don't light my fire,Endless night,No More, Rising are more heavier should be noted that they're still within the realm of POP so they wouldn't go to the level of Screamo Metal their Title Track are curated to be consumable for the general k-pop listeners as well so they have to add those dance pop numbers
From a fellow metalhead, Dreamcatcher's 3 heaviest tracks are, in order: No More, Endless Night, Don't Light My Fire. Then they have many tracks (over half of their discography - yes I keep track of stats heh) that have at least some rock elements. Also, to clarify: Dreamcatcher is the only kpop group who consistently uses rock and/or metal elements in their title tracks. Thus, they created their own unique lane with the industry. It is quite rare for kpop groups to incorporate any rock, though a few on rare occasions infuse some elements of it here and there. Rock/metal in general are not popular genres in Korea, unfortunately.
Great reaction and Welcome to the dreamworlds ! I suggest you their dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments.... 1. Scream 2. Boca 3. Odd Eye i suggest " deja vu " ( it's a masterpiece)😊 I recommend you their last song "justice" 🔥 and heavier I recommend " endless night " " no more" " Don't light my fire "😊
I'm sorry to tell you that unfortunately Dreamcatcher is not a rock/metal group... They are still a K-pop group, which is obviously would be underlined by pop music... But, the differences are that Dreamcatcher are always infuse rock/metal elements in all of their title tracks... For me, I am a metal head too, Dreamcatcher is a special group, and their most acknowledgeable strength is their genres mixing... As I said before, all of their title tracks are always infuse with rock/metal genre that mixed with basically any other genres we ever think about... While their B-sides tracks are way more vary in the genres mixing... You can name pop, rock, reggae, jazz, city pop, EDM, trap, funk, reggaeton, etc, they already have that in their discography... So, please lower your expectation of the rock/metal sound in their songs, cause once again, they are not a rock/metal group... But sure they have songs with metal sounds that legit metal, like: *Endless Night* , *Don't Light My Fire* , *Eclipse* , *No More* , and maybe *Breaking Out* could be put in the same category too... Again, please lower your expectation of rock/metal on Dreamcatcher, but try to respect their genres mixing more, cause not every group, person, or band could perform many varieties genres without any setbacks, but for me, Dreamcatcher is the one of the odd... So far I don't have any bad song from all of their discography, and their songs are spread wide from slow pop songs to hardcore metal songs, and FYI, I am truly a metal head with Dream Theater and Metallica as my favorite bands of all time... For these days bands, I like Dayseeker, Caskets, Polyphia and more... And now, Dreamcatcher would be my favorite group (not band) of all time... Regardless, great reaction, stay safe, keep healthy, and have great days
I think there's a lot of InSomnia who don't really vibe with the rest of kpop. For me I do listen to some of the kpop groups but nothing beats my obsession with Dreamcatcher 😂😂😂 rock was always my fav genre growing up. I think the late 90's and early 2000 were the best times of rock. Nowadays music is just not my cup of tea, but lately I've been listening to a lot of Falling in Reverse. The latest album was dope. Ok so back to Dreamcatcher, what song have you listened to? If you wanted a heavier sound you should check out ENDLESS NIGHT. Trust me, you'll love it.
Kpop fans always hates me, because I always say I don't listen to kpop I listen to Dreamcatcher. I know Dreamcatcher is kpop, but there is no other group in kpop like Dreamcatcher. Also Vision is as hard as they go with their korean releases. As a metalhead myself I don't really like their harder Japanese releases except Don't Light My Fire. Anything harder than Vision feels forced. Their playground is that line between rock and pop music. They are not a rock/metal band, but a kpop group with rock sound. Thank you for this reaction!
You want metal Dreamcatcher.....then their Endless Night video is for you!!!! So heavy! Metalhead kpop lover here as well! Great reaction!
Dont light my fire by DreamCatcher and endless night by DreamCatcher are good🙏
Break The Wall as well
Since i heard the Evanescence song at the end, I'll recommend Dreamcatcher's Break the Wall which reminds me of them.

Endless Night IS so good and heavy
Break The Wall too
Since you want some heavier songs from Dreamcatcher, I could recommend these:
NIGHTMARE ERA:
• GOOD NIGHT
• Mayday (one of their special clips for this song featured a live band, and it's a B-track to boot)
• What (I felt gothic Evanescence vibes here)
• PIRI
DYSTOPIA ERA:
• BOCA (this song is what practically drew the attention of almost half, if not most, of the casual pop listeners turned InSomnias - owing to the rock twist added to the usual moombahton sound heard in some pop songs)
• Break the Wall (most InSomnias find early grunge '90s Evanescence vibes here in this song)
• New Days (sound is pretty much reminiscent of an anime OST)
APOCALYPSE ERA (VISION is actually part of this album series):
• Maison (not quite as heavy as VISION - but I did feel the ending part sounds quite Within Temptation-esque, albeit in a Kpop code)
• BONVOYAGE (their Farewell version, which is pretty much their English rendition, sounds a little much heavier than their original Korean release)
VERSUS ERA:
• JUSTICE (I felt the pop metal Within Temptation vibes in this song)
STANDALONE SINGLES:
• Full Moon
• Déja Vu (not quite heavy music-wise, but the vibes are pretty much Kpop ballad meets Evanescence and Nightwish)
• Reason
JAPANESE SINGLES:
• Endless Night (some, if not most, non-casual listeners turned into diehard InSomnias after hearing this song)
• No More (this is Dreamcatcher's heaviest song to date)
• Eclipse (this is an actual anime OST)
• Don't Light My Fire (Dreamcatcher sounded like they were any European symphonic metal band you would think of with this song 😅)

" No More " is their most heavy song.
I'd recommend Endless Night, Rising, and Break the Wall
I'm Korean. K-pop school? That doesn't exist. It's a lie
