    Thank you so much for this video! My son is 4 and youchien nenchu from April. My husband and I are both foreigners and speak English 90% at home. We want to support our son's Japanese language study but so many videos have full, formal desu/masu sentences, rather than "everyday Japanese" sentences. These are the phrases he'll hear and use at school most often. You have such a clear voice and the phrases are wonderful. Thank you for helping us so much! ❤️

    最近, my favorite channelです。ありがとうございます。BTW, 1:59 「もって」-> 「まって」じゃないんですか?

    • @Ninjapanese
      @Ninjapanese  Год назад +1

      Hold it. 👜
      = Can you hold this for a while?
      Hold in Japanese is もちます/持ちます(mochimasu)
      So TE form of もちます is もって.
      That’s why HOLD IT = ちょっともって。
      ちょっとまって⏰
      means
      ・Hold on.
      ・Wait for a sec.
      ・Just a moment.
      Hope you understand the difference between
      もって( Hold it) and まって(Hold on)

      @@Ninjapanese Thanks to your explanation, I fully understand. Thank you so much. 「hold it」にも「待って」という意味があって、ちょっと勘違いしたんです。 でもここでは「hold it」を直訳した時の意味、「持っている」が正解なんですね。
