Basically pentatonic scale is 5 notes, this is 0 3 5 7 10 resolving at 12 th fret ( octave of open) This particular guitar has fret 6 also , this is the blues added note in the scale. This guitar is tuned EBE , some people use GDG , in any case the same principle applies. There is of course a 2 nd fret on this guitar, and playing the middle string with the others open allows for the wonderful shuffle sound on the open chord, I hope this explains ?! 👍
