This is what happens when a hof player hangs it up. They need to draft a replacement or maybe trade for a player because winston is not the long term answer.
I was impressed at how well Winston was playing before his injury, and also how well Trevor Siemian came off the bench Ice Cold and led the saints to a decisive win! Sean Payton is a hell of a coach and it’s crazy how that saints defense is showing out!

I know! I didn't like Trevor when he was with the Broncos and when I saw his name on the screen as the Saints back up QB I thought the worst. There's nothing like watching a football game to where Brady's passes gets intercepted for a couple of pick 6's. I just love seeing him pout when he loses.
Even Rothlesberger showed up today even though they won by the skin of their teeth.

Turnovers were expected against a top3 defense. Its the penalties that they needed to reduce, but didn't.

As a diehard Saints fan… losing a QB with the potential of Jameis is heart-breaking but when he gets back he’s going to be a monster. I feel like he's really going to come into his own under Sean Payton and his offensive coaching abilities. Also apparently he got eye surgery last year or something? I don't know if his eyes just weren't good or it was colorblindness. I would have to confirm that though. As a massive Alabama fan I'm stoked Mark Ingram is back with our Saints. Felt weird without him.

Commentary was exceptional! Every team/game deserves energy like this especially when it’s so close and everyone is playing so well
I know the video games are terrible, I know, but I remember how much maddens commentary added to games, his goofy booms and bams and squiggles all over the screen with his pen 🤣 lots of great commentators since but man he was a personality. Commentary matters.
You could tell how Jameis was playing that he really wanted this game. After he got hurt, his teammates dug deep and won it for him. That's what I love about football, no skin color just heart and guts.

The Saints are a solid team with good defense and great coaching. I wouldn't dare count this team out of any game. They have enough firepower to stay in games and to be able to overcome big deficits when they get in trouble. They're definitely a force to be reckoned with in the NFL.
Just need a great qb.
Hopefully Mike Thomas will make our offense more potent ( and if Winston isn’t out for the season)

Hopefully the injury to Jameis Winston isn’t too bad, but when you have Alvin Kamara leading your offense, you always gonna have a chance. The Saints’ Defense late in this game made big time stops, including a pick-6 that proved to be the dagger

Jumping on a fumble is actually what caused us to end up getting Brees, he tried and tore his shoulder up. QBs aren't meant to be on the bottom of a pile of 300+ lineman fighting for the ball. He hated it but was smart for not trying.

I wouldn’t say the offense balled out. They were pretty stagnant like usual. Just took advantage of penalties and turnovers. The play calling by Payton at the end was very questionable. You can believe in your defense but you just don’t give Tom Brady that much time with 2 timeouts while only up 2 points. I don’t care what defense you have. But Williams read that play perfectly. Brady does love his crossers and it bit him in the ass this time.
How to beat Brady:
Put in your backup and roll with it..defense isn’t game planned for him.

@@dre7103 he basically said he came into the game with a super aggressive mindset. He said obviously you don’t want the incompletions there but he was looking for 6. He said even if bucs went down & scored he was confident that his team was capable of marching down & score having 3 timeouts.
It made sense to me. If you run clock all it does is forces Tampa to use 2 timeouts. The time left would have been the same. No way we were scoring on two straight runs. SP was trying get the TD and NOT take time off the clock. Give them the ball back with time and if they did happen to score we’d have time left with 3 timeouts to get in field goal position.
