The low light performance on this camera is amazing. I have shot this camera in almost pitch black and it will find the image. This is the biggest reason I love this camera. I am shooting all the time at night or in the house. Having low light is a must for what I do as a run and gunning filmmaker.

I am currently using an f2.8 lens for low light . It does pretty well . Not as good as a f1.8 lens , but I still find the results to be very helpful and very usable in my opinion.

You will see a difference as you have almost a stop and a half of light. It is worth the upgrade if you do a lot of low light.
I even shoot Disney world dark rides with my tamron f2.8 lens and I still get great results.
Shooting with a f2.8 and the a7siii is a great combo to make amazing videos!
