Interesting! I have never seen fried BBL before. And I'm old school, so I toss my cooked/boiled BBL in the green onion oil and serve it with nuoc cham on top, but I like your method!
Yea, I think fried BBL is only sold in Hue, VN which I'm from. I remember used to have with my friends all the time when I was in high school. That's what I usually do too but since I wanted to get rid of some of the strong smell of the fish sauce I stir fry it a little on the heat. 😊

Did u fry the dumpling from raw or from boiled version?
From raw. You can also store these in freezer for latter use
