    Reading all of these comments you have to give the Saudi Arabian people mass credit because these people are pissing all over their kingdom and whining about every little thing and acting like they're gonna go live in an underground bunker or something like that. If you decided to move there just make the best of it.
    The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia looks absolutely beautiful and I hope to be able to visit there someday. The hospitality seems unmissible. Classy good hearted people ❤

    I think Alothaim markets is cheaper than panda, Riyadh is a great city and it is the future for Middle East. Best of luck to you and your family

    That supermarket looks very expensive! Things are much cheaper than that. Enjoy your time and try to find another place to shop.

    I believe, some supermarkets are expensive and others aren’t. In my point of view, if you want shampoo or toothbrush or something like that, you should buy it from medicine stores. It’s much cheaper and you will find a lot of discounts. Have fun in my country. You are welcome,

    Why the move? Higher pay? Are you both English teachers?

    • @JasonSmartTravel
      @JasonSmartTravel  17 дней назад +2

      We are paid well, but it was other factors: closer to Europe, people we know in Saudi. Less pollution. And a few others

    The weather will be cold in month, u know saudi arabia not all hot, it's like a continent with more than 2 million km. if u go to mountainous cities in the southwest of Saudi Arabia like Abha, Taif, Albaha it's really cold and rainy in the summer 17 degree celsius. There are many super markets, panda is a bit expensive, I will recommend u Aldanoub hypermarket. There is a branch of Spinneys. Good timing for moving to saudi arabia, especially with ur wife's pregnancy, u will see the quality of medical services and the hospitals, all for free. Welcome to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦❤️

    Welcome to Riyadh. Soon you will love the atmosphere of the city. And car congestion. The weather will improve in a month. A big city with very expensive places and cheap places. My advice is to have social relationships. Women wear an abaya over their clothes so that they do not have to change their appearance every time

    Have watched a few of your previous videos but am really interested in KSA move as looking at it as an option. I’m in construction. What do you guys do? Teaching?!?
    Pls share more videos as you settle in? Those prices have to be convenience store prices -right?

    Great video and good luck! A quick correction, the person on the 100 riyals bill isn’t the Crown Prince but King Salman.
    Also I might be off here but living in Saudi and hearing those rediculous prices shocked me. Is there a chance you may have miscalculated the pricing when comparing currencies ?

      I’ve just been to another supermarket - Carrefour. Here are some prices:
      Cornflakes 500g 27.45 riyals = $7.32
      Colgate regular toothpaste 14.45 riyals = $3.85
      So maybe Panda, the first supermarket we visited, it just insanely expensive.
