Yes, this year is 2014. Stem cell treatment has moved from research institutes to Doctor's clinics in our larger cities. Stem Cells can cause regeneration of tissue products in the body. And that's a great thing.
Learned all I needed to in first 15 minutes. I am 37 and have CSR in one of my eyes and my retina seems to already have scar tissue. If my other eye ends up like this I will be worthless to myself and others making my initial diagnosis of macular degeneration seem like a more promising one.

When she mentions scar tissue at around 14-15 minutes, is she saying that procedures like fat transplants for burn and complexion scars on the face would be futile? I know a common plastic surgery procedure today involves grafting adipose tissue from the lower stomach, which contains stem cells, and implanting it into the face and other affected areas by burns and serious skin disorders that cause scar tissue is being tried right now by numerous plastic surgeons. Plastic surgeons claim this can regenerate the damaged tissue over time and fill the affected areas that have cell damage and atrophy, so I wonder if it is a legitimate procedure some plastic surgeons are performing on patients.

The sonic hedgehog thing, came from a study on fruit flies and it was found that they have a gene (I think) that is responsible for essentially why we have two sides to our face and brains etc. Abnormalities with this gene produce for example cycloptic/one eyed babies who unfortunately don't live that long. There are preserved babies in medical museums I think. The gene is called sonic the hedgehog because the scientist who worked on identifying this almost universal gene noted that the fruit flies in question had almost hedgehog style edges on their heads under a microscope. The sonic part was because that scientist went home and saw his child had left out a comic or magazine that had sonic the hedgehog on the front. Hence the name was coined for the gene that we all have but was initially identified in fruitflies. Imma lay person so that's as much as I know.

After 6 months of offering stem cell therapy in combination with the venous angioplasty liberation procedure, patients of CCSVI Clinic have reported excellent health outcomes. There are lots of seminars where these docs show slides but never bring out a patient who has had this done. Now I have heard they often inject hyaluronic acid which acts as a pain killer. Yes indeed, you can get a shot of hyaluronic acid and paid by your insurance company. Lets see the clinical trial proof.
We should be concerned about science of stem-cells becoming proprietary and just another form of business. If you can get cancer, you must have stem cells already resident within. What causes problems in pregnancy can also occur in healing. Cancer is a normal cellular process within the genome: trophoblasts, the first differentiated cell in the life-cycle that makes up the entire placental complex of chorion and amnion. In normal pregnancy, eating is the important thing. Not medicine.
with the regeneration of stem cell & tissue,i'm looking forward to have my own stem cell regenerated,to clon,so to speak another of me right now before i;m getting older.or even die of old age.this had been the things the ancient king of china looking for...
+William Ho It was the beginning intention of alchemy. The transference of cheaper metals to gold soon followed. Amazingly we have now figured out how to convert a cheap metal to gold. Unfortunately it cost over $24,000 to produce a few tenths of a gram of gold. We just can't generate the gravitational power of super massive stars.
Much as I love the entire concept of stem cells, at least with regards to the regeneration of missing appendages, you really have to be something of a sociopath to be able to inflict that kind of suffering on another living creature. I couldn't do it, least not on an animal sentient enough to react frantically, in fear, of a pain source. I mean, I could never deliberately wound or maim a salamander just to see its leg regrow, least not several times just to see what happens... I hope they at least show mercy and give the animals some kind of lidocaine injection before they assault it.
+Koltiras Rip You sound like a tenth century pope. Davinci changed that kind of thinking by doing the first autopsies on dead bodies to learn anatomy. A fundamental change in science to rational thinking influenced by the writings of Rene Decartes.
+Louie Rivera Actually your asking about telomer regeneration. If you can find it on dvd to rent, the science channel broadcast 6 episodes of a program called "Futurescape" narrated by James woods. One episode was titled " do you want to live forever". It shows the scientific research that has been done on telomeres and their triggering of new cell production. At last check there was a company offering 90 day injections for a year at $40,000.00 per injection. The program research was all done using mice so it was in vivo but absent human trials. It promises to offer you the choice of how long you wish to live in a healthy young state. That will do wonders for the social security system and world population. Major adjustments will need to be made. Right now you have to be rich to use it.
I have Knee Osteo Arthritis, I am offered injection of Sheep Placenta, and said that it will develop new cartilage. Is it true by Sheep Placenta? Not by our own stemcell? Thank you for your kind attention and comments. Rgds, Andi
Consult the Dalai Lama's Doctor who uses the subtle diagnostics and ultra specific recommendations for herbs and diet for EACH individual person........We are still guessing at things in the West, and NOT ascribing to the 5,000 year old treatments from India nor the 3,000 year old TCM and Tibetan systems. These Western, blanket assumptions are inadequate, and can kill.

I don't want to be part mechanical, I love biology and I do love technology but not inside me, its better to use technology to improve biology not replace it.
uuhhh. A few months ago I would've fully agreed with you, but now I'm on the fence about that. I want to be a cyborg and I'm no longer sure how far I'd go with that.
@@justinspykerman I want to extend my natural brain function. I want to do the same with my body. I have considered chopping an arm off or replacing an eye with a camera for science. Then I thought about extending my sensory inputs and from there I wondered if I should implant “my own” memories into “my own” brain to increase the rate of learning. It all went downhill from there.
If even bone marrow transplantation was done, possibly I might save father, by "I expand and can know, am able to move", I start it again. 骨髄移植さえ出来てればもしかしたら父を救えていたかも知れなかった、「広がって知れる動かせる」事により、やり直すんだ。
So if we find ways to make the body make 1 stem cell each time it divides we can live longer and healtier. Other research show that less everyday stress and more targeted stress will lead to more healthy stem cells. Of course cant forget less polution and more natural foods helps as well. In other words our everyday life is kinda wrong we replaced life whit death.
Well I remember reading years ago they would burn a pig's heart and then heal it with stem cell surgery. And I have a heart issue called atrial fibrillation that is very debilitating and all they want to do is burn my heart. See the irony here with modern medicine instead of healing the heart they want to damage it more. I guess what I'm saying is I'm waiting for the time where they actually try to heal the heart with stem cell therapy so I could finally live a normal life again, but as of yet I keep searching and nobody is doing it but I know they have done the research on the poor helpless piggies they burnt😞😐
@@IdSpeey1392 you probably read that in pop sci magazine where they overhyped things to get readers. I'm a clinician. There is still no use for stem cells

Have you done any research on stem cells and Telomeres activation?
I have Knee Osteo Arthritis, I am offered injection of Sheep Placenta, and said that it will
develop new cartilage. Is it true by Sheep Placenta? Not by our own stemcell?
Thank you for your kind attention and comments.

+Andijanto Andijanto The doctors will be keeping some shears nearby for your next appointment. JK :P
THEy already are doing adipose tissue injection stem cells in Florida. See David GRanovsky on Facebook, he is the stem cell researcher that will hook you up with the doctor. It costs 8,000 to 1000 dollars.
@@anteconfig5391 That's interesting, what caused the change in heart?
Really ..
@miketysoncantpunch Let me know too when u find out ...
Does Dr. Robert O. Becker's work have anything to contribute to this? And some animals are biologically immortal.
Why don't insurances pay for it? I know$, but they would still make $, probably more & people would be healed.
cool
and now 7 years later and what do we have??????
i think during my lifelife the average joe wont ever get any benefit from stem cells. :(
+Call of Duty Audience
Chin up, lookup news about London's Professor Pete Coffey and Moorfields eye hospital.
+Call of Duty Audience The science of it is massively complicated. The risk of cancer development is probably slowing down the progress.
Stem cell is expensive.
Well I remember reading years ago they would burn a pig's heart and then heal it with stem cell surgery. And I have a heart issue called atrial fibrillation that is very debilitating and all they want to do is burn my heart. See the irony here with modern medicine instead of healing the heart they want to damage it more. I guess what I'm saying is I'm waiting for the time where they actually try to heal the heart with stem cell therapy so I could finally live a normal life again, but as of yet I keep searching and nobody is doing it but I know they have done the research on the poor helpless piggies they burnt😞😐
i just love how idiots on the internet tell us they CAN'T do things they can
It's been a decade. Stem cells still can't do things
@@dubscheckum8246 Bro they’re literally regrowing tissue between spine vertebrae’s. Been successfully done many times
@@IdSpeey1392 you probably read that in pop sci magazine where they overhyped things to get readers. I'm a clinician. There is still no use for stem cells
Why would anyone "not like" this? =) so silly
i hope so too. altho personally i want this tech for a new foreskin lol.
lol like you represent every single woman on the planet
My wife had stem cells placed in her left knee two years ago in The Villages two years ago, never worked and $6000 later ?
Did you loose it following trauma or diabeetus? :/
may i offer myself to be regenerated,to clone another of me,so to speak, and to add on to that specific stem cell which would be form from the original an atom cell...
I hope we can invent a way to use stem cells to become indestructible!
Anyone who refers to Nancy Pelosi in a praiseworthy way surely is not worth listening to 🙄

Injected Stem cells to regenerate tissue doesn’t work
How do you know this? I am considering getting it done for my peripheral neuropathy, but not sure about it. People say that it does work.
You and I brother. lol
+1
Dude at 1:36:17 sounds like Stephen Spielberg. Stupid comentary, great lecture
Who here actual watched the whole thing? I didnt
It ruined an otherwise great presentation because she just couldn't resist interjecting politics into a scientific lecture. Big mistake and reduction in public perception of her own overall intelligence. Quite simply, people in glass houses......
Stem cells to cure vaginal pain, scarring..
If she is a Dentist why don't she mention TEETH TEETH TEETH ....
well good that a fellow guy understands how impt it is to have a foreskin. don't worry i know full well how important a foot is to you too. let's both hope they do it quicker haha.
