As a professional, I have LOTS of Makita tools. I'm really digging the 40v platform for power hungry tools; no more double 18's for me. I see more tools in future for me like the 40v backpack vac and 40v plunge saw. Your reviews are awesome and I never miss them. Enjoy your summer while the snow falls in Canada!
Let's hope for a 40v 10" table saw with Dule batteries for run time, ASW a gear adjustable fence for fine tunes a nice large table surface and built in flooding rolling stand
Mate, Merry Xmas (if you Kiwis celebrate it:) )and a happy and prosperous new year to you and yours. I'm looking forward to you exerting your influence on Makita Corp and getting them to release a special, limited edition Tools & Stuff 40 Volt Framing Nailer, maybe in black plastic with a wee silver fern on it? They owe you, you've probably done more for the sales of the XGT line in Aus and NZ than they could have done if they used Jennifer Hawkins as their spokes model!
@@bartfoster1311 they are really good tools but the selection just isn't there yet to make the transition really worth it. The heat gun would of been the perfect opportunity to make a really useful and good xgt tool, however for some reason, they released a sub standard heat gun on 18v instead
I bought the XGT blower after I found myself covered in paint chips and dust from work. I would like to not have to run paint chips off my neck and use the blower to blow off the paint chips. And clean my keyboard, ac filter and what not.. also about to purchase their 200GT set
Ace video. Have you come across a makita wet & dry vac with aws tech yet??? I'm holding out hoping they'll release one but yet to see one with aws. I've loads of 40v and 18v planer with aws but need a wet vac
Hello @Tools & Stuff … I bought the 40V 6 1/2” from Japan … but I have a problem with this saw. There is a problem with the adjustment of cutting depth? Have you heard of this “ problem “ from other guys? Or have you experienced by yourself? I’m just asking because it’s a pain in the back when I want to change the depth and I’m not able to do so quickly or I give up because it takes so long …
Someone broke into my container on new years eve, stole every cordless tool I had in there. Had mostly M12 and Makita 18v as well as the 60v dewalt grinder. Kinda the kick I needed to really focus on m12 for smaller stuff an upgrade the rest to XGT.
4:18 Do NOT blow a duster or any forced/pressurized air into your ears! I don't know how strong the 40V duster is, but you can permanently damage your or someone else's ear. Pressurized air is no joke. It could be like 10x the "sound" of the loudest concert in the world blasting your ear.
That's all fine and dandy, but I dropped my xdt16 in a flooded basement of muddy water. May I have another please? Lol! I've had it sitting in front of a fan since then and am still afraid to try it out. Nice picks for "top 5".
Hey Mr Tools, when will you do a review and comparison on the Makita XGT Demolition Hammer namely the HM001G vs the HM002G . TA and Have a Merry Christmas with the Hand Break!
I’m confused, you have been great at being real with your tool reviews, and worthwhile features. But with the auger, when would you ever use a 200mm auger for a pile footing? Or are you into mass landscape plantings now?
Cant wait to see snow blower from makita. It would be my best tool for this winter and every winter. We have around 40cm(15in) snow in a day snowing. Cant stand those gas powered trashy things. Greenworks have a fev in 82v but goddamn I have a lot of xgt batteries(

Apart from myself, I am yet to come across another real life person, tradie or homeowner, that owns any XGT stuff here in Australia. I’ve lost count of the mind boggling battery platforms they make now. 12v, 14.4v, 18v, 36v, 40v, 80v, 64v… that’s not sustainable and should concentrate on just two battery systems and ditch the rest.

My top 5
1) AS001
2) Router
3) Nailer 18g & 23g
4) Track enabled circ
5) Vac
I hope the xgt range expands significantly in 2023. Makita seems to have dragged their feet a bit with the 40v platform
I've yet to see anyone else on a job with any XGT tools, the sales are a bit slow at their price point.

@@riba2233 oh yeah defo, they just need to have srle tion parity with the 18v platform
@@uberwayz agreed, they are getting there but a quicker tempo wouldn't be bad :D
that skill saw is the main reason im looking at getting into makita 40v
Thanks for the videos mate hopefully we get that table saw next year!
40V plunge saw deserves a mention surely, great piece of kit.
I know... I forgot it... D`oh!

If you do fence jobs, it is good top 5 tools. Cutting post timber(100mm), 200mm dia. Auger.
I must admit, I am impatiently waiting for a xgt multi-tool
I'm wondering what about mkita tablessaw?Does it run on battery two
Awesome video! Can't wait to see what's coming this year too!
Thanks Tools n Stuff.
That saw looks sweet!
Great list Tools! Merry Christmas from across the ditch 🇦🇺

Nice video, solid choices and a wicked 🦉!

Tool entertainment tres bon... Still waiting for the cordless table saw.. come on Makita!
i m hoping for an xgt oscillator tool
Happy christmas and new year see 2023
This year was my 18V year for makita... I bought 15 tools!
Next year is my 40V year!
Merry Christmas, happy new year. More Legos please😊
Awesome! Thank you so much for making these reviews!😁👍
You're welcome. See you on the next one.

It's a native Ruru, or Morepork. It's a small nocturnal owl. The only nonextinct owl in NZ
The strimmer looks amazing, but the chainsaw for wood carving needs updating to keep up with Stihl and huskavana
Yeah I have to get the trim router, track saw, and chainsaw
Track saw is awesome!

Have you got access to manual for makita 4000 power float (old)
GSH04 is so sick 😅 we need mitre rails for Makita saws 🙏

I would open it up, blow it out then put it in front of a dehumidifier for a day.
Where is the 40v air compressor
They are coming out officially just next year ..
Love your work 👌🏾
Cheers

When I have something to destroy!
Will there be a 40V makita osalating multi tool?
Yes
Surprised the AVT reciprocating saw didn't make the honorable mentions, the best battery recip you can go out and buy right now.
I totally agree. But when I went back through my videos I missed it. I also forgot the tracksaw. I really need to tidy up my tools.

Yes there is a dual charger. I have reviewed it.
Ironically only lantern looks interesting to me. It has radio too.
