Thanks For the upload - Saw them , Big Fan - June 27, 1991 - Reno Hilton Showroom, Reno, NV, Setlist; 1.) Sweet Little Razor 2.) Shotgun Man 3.) Soul to Soul 4.) Don't Stop Now 5.) Love Injection 6.) Cactus Juice 7.) I'm in Love 8.) Untied and True 9.) Big Line 10.) Someone Like You
People forget filming wasn't an easy thing to do back in 1991. Video cameras the size of a 48 roll pack of toliet paper. The quailty is really good!!!! And not one single cell phone up in the air!!!! People are taking it all in!
I saw them twice on this tour. Fucking amazing live band at their peak. So fucking tight, so fucking powerful, so underrated. God I wish these guys would get it together for 1 summer festival run. One of the best live bands from that era. Killer.
Bang Tango should've been as big as GNR...a shame they had incompetent management and record label that didn't seem to care...this footage proves just how badass they were live in their prime!
This is awesome, thanks man for uploading!........ Bang Tango, this line up, was perfection in every way, they deserved so much more than they get, the masses behave like flies, they prefer shit instead anything really worthy.
As a guitarist that grew up playing Metal and was influenced by my fair share of hair metal. Bang Tango was one of the fucking best! First album one of my favorite LP's of all time. Guitar work...Epic! It all rules. Bang Tango forever!!!
Finding this video truly made my day!! The most outstanding band whose music is still played regularly by me, cause it's sexy af and timeless badassery!! Much love from Austin, TX.
I loved these guys when they came out...they were different and cool. Being a bass player I'd learn there stuff and steal the bass riffs and put some of them into my bands songs, well, more like borrow!!!
Actually, it's to their advantage not to be huge in terms of commercial success, not to have mass appeal because it's the bane of artistic integrity. Art is not to be rated. Artists live in sheer dread of becoming a corporate product.
And then the Seattle scene was viewed and everything changed! I loved Band Tango!! I feel the could of transitioned to the new flow of music. Never happened but Im glad I got to see them
Best live band EVER in their prime. I saw them in San Diego 2 weeks after they got signed. Loved them ever since! Glad there are new glam metal bands emerging on youtube. Bands like Chase The Ace, Keith Kessinger, Wikkid Starr and The Vain Vipers all have hints of Bang Tango.
top of their game here. musically, not many bands could come close. it's too band what happened to them. egos will do that tho...and leste's voice is shot...drugs & booze will do that. :/ thanks for uploading this and taking me back in time.
Joe Leste, For Front man on the next AC DC tour. I've known how great Joe's voice was when I heard him back in Chula Vista Ca. Joe is the only person who has what it takes to front the Band AC DC. GO JOE LESTE. P.S. Joe you were great in Tucson 2014.
Thanks for posting! So many great bands of that. But that being said, whether it’s Metallica, motley crew or Megadeth, Ratt I think these guys were better musician wise in the majority of that time which says a lot, totally underrated.
This is pretty damn good footage and sound quality esp for the time. As many mention cameras were pretty much all shoulder level VHS cameras. I was a sophmore in HS so I couldn't get into to see my favorite bands - we had TA Verns and The Shark Tank in Milwaukee. No way you were getting into a bar under 21. Lived in Tampa from 2015-16 - looks like this was at 5018 N Dale Mabry. Building is clearly long gone. Toyota dealer there. Would love to see what this looked like from the outside.
These guys were pretty kick ass the first few albums and certainly during the Psycho Cafe period sounded great live here never got a chance to see them in the day. Leste had a unique voice, but he fried his chords singing way out of his range for so long. Reminded a bit of Ian Astbury at times when he stayed in his range but the screams roaches him eventually.
The band is pretty tight, good enough musicians in it, good songs, so, why are they not in the Motley Crue level of success? Is their record label marketing them wrong?
Because they leaned into the glam rock image, which was a dead end at that point. If they had a record company with some vision they would have been right there with Guns N Roses and the Chili Peppers. But they downplayed their punk side and tried to make themselves pretty boys, and in the late 80s, early 90s that was a non-starter.
They kicked GNR's ass Live & their studio album "Psycho Cafe" pretty much rivaled "Appetite For Destruction" production wise!!!!! Just awesome!!!!! There is also a vid of this original line up on here from a show in Long Beach played in 2015. While REALLY GOOD especially considering the age of the guys, it lacks the cohesiveness, piss & vinegar that this one has. That's the advantage of youth I guess. However it was one fine show (especially compared to what passes for music these days) & it was a show worthy of a tour & the price of admission.
If you were a music industry promoter, whom would you have this band opened for maximum results? Inxs? Whitesnake? Motley Crue? Iron Maiden? Who? Red Hot Chilly Pepper?
STILLL FFFFFFFNNNNNNNNNNNNNN awsesome 32 years later . THANKS four THIS !
Holy shit!!! I was at this show for my 21st birthday...love this band!

I saw them twice on this tour. Fucking amazing live band at their peak. So fucking tight, so fucking powerful, so underrated. God I wish these guys would get it together for 1 summer festival run. One of the best live bands from that era. Killer.
One of the best bands from that era period! So much talent across the board.
Sound is awesome for 91!!
Excellent job

This is awesome, thanks man for uploading!........ Bang Tango, this line up, was perfection in every way, they deserved so much more than they get, the masses behave like flies, they prefer shit instead anything really worthy.
The ROCK-IT club was bad ass.
As a guitarist that grew up playing Metal and was influenced by my fair share of hair metal. Bang Tango was one of the fucking best! First album one of my favorite LP's of all time. Guitar work...Epic! It all rules. Bang Tango forever!!!

Woah! Absolutely amazing live! Soooooooooo underrated! Should have been huge!
Actually, it's to their advantage not to be huge in terms of commercial success, not to have mass appeal because it's the bane of artistic integrity. Art is not to be rated. Artists live in sheer dread of becoming a corporate product.

I was THERE! Thanks so much for the trip back in time!
BT in their PRIME!
I remember when Psycho Cafe came out, riding around cranking out the cassette in my beat up Chevy. Awe yeah!
Great show!
I miss this club!
Thanks
Damn! Thanks for uploading this. I had no idea that they sounded this good live. I've never seen them before :( Fucking amazing show.

Whitfield Crane would be a better choice...no disrespect towards Joe.
Great post Mark. I was at this show as well taking photos...although I got more wrapped up in the show than I did taking g pics lol

Damn, I miss the Rock-it Club!
Power vocals

Anyone know what type of guitar Mark is playing?.. Its pretty badass!! Cool shark gaffics!
It’s a Jackson
Badass thanks, fyi there is a YT vid of Bang Tango 2015 original members, just not as tight as this.
You have some very cool posts... You wouldn't happen to have the Saigon Kick / Ratt show from 91 would you??
Who were they out with during this tour? Were they headlining, or opening?
This was from their club headlining tour.
The tunes are faster...wow!! Still good though!
I got drunk with them at a club called TA Verns in Milwaukee, Wi. Probably this tour.
I played that Club and Extreme was playing downstairs.

That band was super talented ....they would have been bigger if the scene didn't change ,unfortunately then grunge ruined it all ...
If you were a music industry promoter, whom would you have this band opened for maximum results?
Inxs?
Whitesnake?
Motley Crue?
Iron Maiden?
Who?
Red Hot Chilly Pepper?
Guns N Roses
The Cult
Thank you for this but nice camel toe Joe.
