I think the removal of controller tap strafe was just the consequence of the other configs being possible, such as neo strafe, auto armor swap. I mean the neo strafe config was allowing to neostrafe while looking in any direction you want, for example on your opponent lol. This is nearly impossible to kill. I am on Mnk and spinning mouse wheel to get W spammed in inhumane speed is basically a macro too, so they need to find a solution to make tap strafe possible on roller too, so you are not missing out any movement tech but for the price of lowering some aim assist or tweak it. Actually i am pretty fine with aim assist it has just the flaw of microadjustments contradicting actual directional imputs of the player keeping you on target. Micro adjustments are done by mnk players too, but they have on average 80 ms reaction time, while aim assist is instant. (Thats why it looks so unnatural) I know roller players are convinced that its their skill but you basically learned how to use the mechanic, not how to use your roller. As someone having 2-3000 hours on Roller and another 3000 on mnk in Apex can tell you, get used to mnk for a year and then pick up a roller and you will immediately notice apart from your degenerate movement that when you shoot there is something wierd happening on the screen which is not your input at all ;) Btw: @Quada still he is an insane player.
