Also agree that it’s fantastic to see how things really work in the Aus med school journey. So little info out there as to what the actual school is like; most is just hospital work afterwards or the beforehand prep. Would love if you’d consider making a vlog on how the interview processes you’ve been through were? Especially while it’s still (relatively) fresh in your memory. Thanks!
Loving these videos! I wish we had more Aussie med school vloggers. I'd be keen on the potential video you mentioned about going paperless. I'm applying for med entry next year and, if all goes well, may be making the trek to Sydney from Melbourne, so it's lovely to see it through someone else's eyes.
That is so lovely to hear! I'm glad you're enjoying the videos :) I have filmed the 'paperless med student' vid actually and I'm hoping for a chance to edit it this week - so hopefully it will be up soon! Good-luck with your med application process - I hope everything goes well for you! x
Hey Tess! I just stumbled across your video and loved it. I am in year 12 currently and would really love to eventually become a GP (physio is my second option lol), although I am finding the whole process quite daunting and a little bit discouraging. Was just wondering how you were managing? Are you able to work still or is Uni all you really have time for? I'd love to hear your honest take, also, what made you switch from physio to start studying again? I have noticed its quite common for physios to do :)
Hi Lily, I'm so glad you're enjoying my vlogs! Those are all really great questions and I'm going to try my best to answer them in an upcoming Q&A video for you (so keep an eye out!). I totally understand what you mean though about the process of getting into medicine feeling really daunting! My biggest advice is to stay as organised as possible and keep your end goal in mind throughout the process to keep you motivated - but also make sure you get enough rest and keep doing the things that you enjoy outside of school. Good-luck with your year 12 and medical application, I hope it all goes really well for you :)
Hey Tess, I'm a student studying Osteopathy in Australia and I'm thinking of pursuing medicine once I graduate, but I'm a little bit stuck and wanted to ask someone going through med school at the moment a question. In your video, you mention that you are still working 1 x 10-hour shift a week. Is that correct? How much time is available for you to work in an average week? Is it possible to do with a mortgage and 2 kids? Are there other older adults in your cohort in a similar situation? I see a lot of videos talking about how it's impossible to work AND study medicine, which is seriously making me question it as a future career move. Thank you :)

Thanks so much! I am definitely keen to make a video based around the interview process within the next month-ish so keep your eyes peeled! haha

Super excited to find this video! Looking forward to more
Heyit would be great if could you make a video on how you make notes/ take notes in lectures and study for exams?
Hey Mili, that's a great suggestion! I'll put that on the list and try to make a video on that topic very soon :)

If you put glasses on throughout the whole video, thats the only was i wont get side tracked.. those eyes are such a distraction.
Just out of curiousity, which university do you study medicine at?
Justin Jayden she’s at Sydney University
