The Claiborne/Carrollton pump station is operating with ancient pump motors that run on an outdated 25 hertz alternating current while the US standard is 60 hertz. Instead of replacing those they constantly repair them even though it would make much more sense to replace them.
These systems fail every single time they're actually needed.

Imagine having systems that are meant for a thing, but fail every time that thing happens.
have they considered putting the ten commandments on the pumps?
You can not pump the Missisippi out of New Orleons!
All the neighborhoods by the lake I heard have flooding issues

There must be a smarter way to keep these pumps going but they don't want to spend the money 🤑 also these pumps are outdated and need replacement
