no, the kv is constant. doesnt matter if you use 2 or 3s the kv is the same..........
@@LawrenceTimme Then you should show that on the bend
Only at it's rating. The 3s motor isn't even woken up unless it's at 11.1 volts. You've already proven KV ratings are wrong anyway. At least give the motor an honest chance. It doesn't matter now, I don't like your attitude. I've been building 100 mph 3s cars for 30 years and I'm not coming back. This is a fraud. @@LawrenceTimme
I feel like I'm too broke to have this rc hobby..
Why? It's very cheap compared to most. These motors are very powerful for the price 😃
@@LawrenceTimmeI just got into the hobby, then had news of a baby, my son is 1 and I'm almost 2 years sober. Covid killed powell river for work. Between rent and diapers, not much left for toys. For me anyway.
soon enough he'll be into it, and I can resume the hobby, for now its paused.
@@rctruggle2822 hang in there, before you know it child will be 5-6 and you can show them how..dont forget to have a hobby and feed your inner child..things will get better all round..hell yeah diapers aint cheep i know i had 4 of them going at same time at one stage lol, no rc for me either back then..
Can you please kindly tell me if this motor is a 5mm is a 5mm SURPASS HOBBY Waterproof Brushless 3660 3300KV Motor for 1/10
you have to ask the seller, they come in both 3.2 and 5mm version.
You can test what you want. but you have only theories... these motors are used in Wltoys 144001 on 3 and 4S and are not so weak as you show. they reach topspeeds up to 110 miles
? I have tested both these motors in real life. How am I showing they are weak in this video? I'm testing the rated Vs real KV.
Pushing a light Chinesium buggy doesn't take much power or effort at all. I have tested both these motors in a heavy 1/10th monster truck.
They are perfectly fine for the price.

@@mrdangerdanger2189 yes, but that is a tiny little car on road. I don't see how that makes it good. It's very easy for a small car to go fast when the motor is almost as big as the car. xD
@@LawrenceTimme The price makes it good..
@@mrdangerdanger2189 that is not what you said in your original comment. I agree. They are fine for the price.
How did you come to the conclusion that I thought they were weak?
Hi Iawrence, great vids mate keep up the good work. I was wondering if you or anyone else out there could possibly help me please? Im a newbie to electric rc, but ran nitros many years ago. Unfortunately my health has recently taken a nose dive and not able to walk or move very much so decided to find a hobby that I could actually do. Im on a tight budget and dont know very much about all this(but Im learning very fast lol) thats why in my infinate wisdom I went out and stupidly bought a Maverick Quantum XT brushed version from RC Geeks(cowboys). Totally disappointed in speed, I knew I should of waited and got the brushless 3300KV 80amp version, but you know what its like........I want it NOW lol. I really want to upgrade to brushless but as stated before Im on a reasonably tight budget and I dont need a rocket, want to run mainly on 2S with an occasional 3S put through it, just for a bit of good bashing no supersonic speed runs or anything. Can anybody recommend a package with a good motor and ESC with a programming card or is it better to buy everything seperately? I was looking at this package???? www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003262319187.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.1eba38da1pXVD0&mp=1 Any help and advice from anyone out there would be HUGELY appreciated. Cheers.
The esc in the combo you linked is not good. The motor looks OK though.
@@LawrenceTimme can you recommend anything in particular which you have tried and tested?
